I have to say, I started a duelist with no build in mind other than, as my name suggets, "yolodps"...
I did fine in normal, and most of cruel until A3. Then I realized I wasn't 1 shotting everything so I had to snag some survivability. I looked around on forums and stumbled on this build. VERY close to what I originally intended (massive dps, minimal survivability - softcore ftw). I like that I have been able to follow the tree you set out and get a very viable character, even though I'm currently using reave instead of cleave (with no conc effect). I plan on making the switch once I get a higher level. Does anyone have some input for how to get from 60-70 / into maps? Thanks!!! | |

I find that with these types of builds, the levels 55-75 are the worst to go through. At that point you're filling out life nodes and just starting to take damage nodes. Your dps isn't the best and neither is survivability.
If you're really willing to yolo it, put on an abyssus with a 5l at level 60 and achieve endgame level dps so you can kill everything before it kills you. Get into maps ASAP and whenever you feel like it go for finishing act 3. The abyssus will literally double your dps. Also get life nodes first, then damage nodes, then crit and finally crit multi. The crit multi in the sword nodes is a very big dps boost. For try, for see, and for know.

" I understand the struggle for a higher level, i had my BoR from lvl 40 and couldn;'t wait to get to BoR lvl req. I had a 4 link, used Cleave, Multistrike, Melee Phys , Faster attacks until i got BoR. EtherFire has a difference of oppinion with me when it comes to gear, i preffer BoR , he prefferes Abbysus +5/6 Link chest BUT the thing is , the only thing that changes is the DPS ...and what can i say , with a conc effect i go up to 50k now ...how much more to you need? Plus i can't stress enough about the exalts you'll have to invest for that 5/6 link + abbyssus when the BoR is what? 1/2 ex now? Have fun , i`m glad you went with the skill tree i posted. My only issue with grabbing a BoR or Abyssus is the price. This is my first character in torment so I'm pretty poor. Thanks for the tips, I will save up what currency I can!

So, I noticed that your build doesn't include using
...intentional? Also, I found a 6 socket destiny leather earlier, just gotta get it linked. |
