Always the same. If u ask people who are having a "perfect experience" with no lag and whatever to just record that, these people will suddenly stop arguing or get angry.
You know why? Cause it never happened..

I wouldn't say my experience is perfect, but it certainly isn't as bad as a lot of other people are having. I don't group though, and I have an nvidia card. So *shrug*.
Doesn't mean I don't have sympathy for the ATI/AMD users or the people who group and have issues. I understand it is a frustration and makes the game hard to play. I also understand that for a lot of you it is pushing you away from the game.
What you have to remember however throughout this whole process is that it is Beta. You have to have the right mind-set in order to participate in a Beta. If you come into a Beta expecting a "demo" of a released game, you will be disappointed almost every time. You have to understand that there will be problems, and those problems should not reflect on the finished product, or your desire to play it. Many things get fixed throughout the Beta process. That is the whole point.
So right now, AMD/ATI users and group play is a little difficult to do without a top of the line PC, or an nvidia card. Don't lose hope. Come back to the game in a few patches, or when you see the patch notes change and say they have made improvements specifically to fix AMD/ATI problems and graphic optimizations for group play. If you don't want to "come back" then either you are going to continue playing through the problems, or you don't care much about the game anyway.
Just need to adjust your mindset and expectations.

Its not just AMD users my dude. You arent getting the picture here. Join up on a docks farming group 6 members. All spamming down mobs. Send me a video of your "No problems". That is the point of this. People dont get what the issues are because they arent immersing themselves in the issues. I can run the game basically flawlessly in solo. Which is all i am currently playing BECAUSE grouping is so fucked.

I understand that... my point still stands.. you need to adjust your mindset that this is a beta, they are aware of the problems, they are working to fix them, but they aren't going to go out of their way to optimize something that is likely to get changed and have to be re-optimized.
It's a beta. It is unfortunate that you cannot play it as a "Release" game as you would like to... but continually telling the devs that it's broken isn't going to change anything. You need to change instead, and accept that it is completely reasonable for a beta product like this to have issues as you describe.

Why would everything have to be re-optimized every patch? It doesn't seem like that is true, or else why would they have noted performance fixes to docks, lightning arrow, maybe some other stuff in recent patches?
Those changes did absolutely nothing for my FPS too by the way. The only thing I can think of is to try a RAMdisk, but that seems annoying and confusing to set up.
Saying "its beta" is sort of a lame excuse. GGG accepts money for a product. I hope they have something in the next 6 months at least.

It's not that they HAVE to re-optimize every patch. But if they change the artwork or effects at all, they do. So it's generally not a good idea to waste time on optimizing things you aren't sure aren't going to stay around.
Sorry the changes they made didn't affect anything... it's still a work in progress.
As for the "it's beta" excuse... it's not an excuse.. it IS beta, and a beta product is a beta product no matter how polished you make it. If it were ready for release it wouldn't be called a beta anymore.
The money that was donated was used as both donations for people, and they happened to give Coin credits for each dollar spent. Most companies that have donation for development don't always give you anything in return. As an example, I donated recently to a different game, and the only thing that is included in that donation is the "game" itself, and that's basically it. For people who donated more, they got a couple of in-game items.
GGG has been good to give actual value to your donations. Those items you purchased aren't necessarily going away between beta and release, so it's not like you're losing any value there. If you don't want to support the game, then don't. You donated while it was still Closed Beta, so I'm not sure what there is to complain about.
Just be patient, don't expect too much, and remember that this game is not released, nor is it a "soft" release. It is a Beta.

What part of "unplayable" can't you grasp? Right now I am pretty much done trying to play this game. Tired of getting dc'd going through gates, dying to desynch, rubberbanding, lagging, etc. I love the game but it's UNPLAYABLE for me. Adjust my mindest???? WTF? After reading from a Dev that this isn't a priority all I can say is buying microtransactions has ceased to be a priority for me until I can at least play Act III without a crash every five minutes. Weird how this stuff only gets worse with each patch they put out. GGG is screwing the pooch. And the fact that there are no further character wipes just means that those with the absolute top end gear are gettiing further and further ahead of guys like me who are basically stymied and CAN'T PLAY regardless of our "mindset". And that blows the whole "its still beta" argument to pieces doesn't it now? Is expecting to be able to play the game in order to want to support it really "unreasonable"?

I understand. Unplayable. IE: you cannot play it currently. I get that. The game is like that for a lot of people. I'm sorry about that, but *shrug* that's how things are. My point is that if it is indeed unplayable right now, then why not come back when they make changes you think that will make it more playable?
The other option is that if it is unplayable now, you could spend a ton of money attempting to rebuild machines to get it playable... upgrading your internet connection to a gigabit fiber line, etc... obviously that's not reasonable... but it proves my point. The jist of my whole point was to say that the devs know that there are problems. Yelling about it and threatening to quit or whatever aren't going to change anything.
If I were in your situation and couldn't play, I'd either quit playing until I saw a patch that improves the things I feel make it unplayable, or I'd do research into things that could make it more playable. In my case, it was as simple as getting a new video card (which I was going to do anyway). I don't group. If grouping is always unplayable, then there's not much help I can give you.
As for your need to worry about other people... don't. So someone can play.. there are a lot of people who can play and there are a lot of people who can't. Your need to compete is still a "mindset" thing. What does it matter that they are getting better gear or further ahead of you?

Because games like these are a lot about being better than other people. I'm just glad that I can play with basically no problems at all, though I don't farm enough to have "good gear" :P

I guess I don't feel the need to peen measure. *shrug*
There are times for that, but Beta is not that time. That's what the ladders/races are for.
