Performance Issues
" It really should be. Nothing kills a game quicker for me than poor performance, it's impossible to enjoy a game if it runs like crap.
" And this is why i made a bitch/moan thread about performance. Everyone telling me im an idiot for assuming it was on the back burners. Well here it is. I told you so. Game runs like garbage and its just going to get worse. |

" Need a tissue? I have a fairly decent PC and everything works fine. At absolute worst of times, like full party of casters and summoners killing Alira I never drop below 30fps. Upgrade, or just deal with it. Its a Beta, Dev's aren't wrong to avoid trying to bake effects into game every single weekly build. That would be just plain nonsense. People... if you can't handle the fact its a beta. Wait for the official release. Otherwise... keep snobby crap like this to yourself. |

" I have a very decent PC. And everything isnt fine. Its a beta and i am pointing out the issues. Im doing my job as a player, not just blowing smoke up GGG's ass. The game needs optimization its not up for debate. Its BS to see its not a priority in my opinion. If you enjoy playing this game at choppy performance thats great for you. But myself and others like me find it extremely annoying. |

" I think the point the previous poster was trying to make is... the devs know that there are still performance issues and optimizations they need to make. That is why Rory posted about it. They know they can make improvements, and they know which improvements to make. The point was that they aren't going to waste time putting those optimizations in right now because they could very likely be changed next week. Optimization is something you do toward the end near the Release portion of the dev cycle. You don't spend a lot of time and effort on that type of stuff up-front, because it is likely to get completely erased in a week or two when they decide to change something else. The devs know about it, and they'll fix it when it is time for that. If you aren't happy with performance right now, you can choose to not play, or you can live with it for right now. It will get better, just don't expect it to happen overnight. |

" Please record yourself in a full party on the Docks spamming down a pack, I want to see your "fairly decent" PC never drop under 30fps. A cellphone video will do, just make sure the Fraps counter is visible.

Tell me about your fps drops in this one, AMD users wont be ignores, its time for a fix! |

With the current state of the game it's unplayable to a lot of people due to the horrendous lag that happens in group play. The only thing you can do is play solo (gets boring), or roll another character and start afresh once you hit around level 70.
The fact that most of the time in the social tab there will be a lot of groups that have "No summoners" in the title shows exactly what the state of the game is. If GGG aren't looking to fix the issue as a priority, then I guess those of us unfortunate enough to have brought an ATI card will have to go find another game to play until they fix it (and good luck on your player base coming back once they've left). To implement things like sparkly wiki totems when people are leaving because of lag is a bit of a joke, and whilst I realise making pretty pixels makes money and must have been in development for a long time (and by a different dev team), to then post that fixing the crappy lag issue isn't a priority makes me wonder where your priorities are. At the moment, the game is skewed towards NVIDIA users, tey don't lag, so don't die as often, they pretty much get all the loot in FFA games, as we lag out when trying to click our stuff and for a game that relies on reaction speed it's impossible to progress at the same rate. Maps are pretty much a no-go, as you can never normally loot them due to there incredibly low drop rate in solo games, and avoiding a death when you are lagging like crazy in groups makes it that when you do manage to find a group one you normally die before the end of the run anyway. It's a great game, but with this current issue and the lack of priority to fix it, I'm left wondering every day if it's just a stop gap till something else comes along. |

" Everything you said was true and i agree. But both AMD and Nvidia users are getting shitty performance. The game is fucked, its not the hardware issue of the players. |

" That will shut that guy up pretty damn quick. |
