Map Drop Rate Is Shocking

Have to agree with what seems to be the general opinion, the current map system isn't working out very well.

I got tons of 66 maps. 20+ atleast, but I don't want to run these, i've already done a hundred or so. I know them inside out and they sure as hell aren't rewarding, 0.1% exp and very low chance to get a 67 map. And then the same story over to get a 68 map and so on..

You need a better rng streak to get a 73+ map than to make 6L armors, that comming from me, I spent almost 500 fusings to make my weapon+armor 5L

I honestly don't know how to remedy this problem with the current system, it needs to be revamped.

As is im stuck to leveling alts so they can farm 66 maps for my main, atleast they'll get experience from it.

ps. getting a 66 map in a 73map 20% chiseled and 100+ quantity as your only map sucks big time.

edit: come to think of it. Maybe this game needs higher level zones ( same as maps) and maps should only be for the increased quantity/difficulty

Then running maps could be more of a "luxuary with more quanitity" rather than something you need to be doing 100% of your time

I've never ran out of maps myself but based on the feedback in this thread I think the map drop rate should be much higher OUTSIDE of maps just in case you get unlucky and run out of them. That said, if you run out why don't you just buy a couple of maps to get you started again instead of farming for hours or even days?

The main problem isn't the lack of maps, the problem is how hard it is to get a 73+ or even 70+ maps

I very much agree. Maps need to be purely loot based, rather than essential for leveling.

Also very much agree with this, same feelings.
I made a 6l the other nite with 5 fusings.

Anyway, I agree, its mianlylow level maps but you can combine 3 of the same type for a higher level map.. I havent done this yet j/s

Im also only level 74 almost 75 and still getting GOOD xp from doing 68 maps..

Is there some trick to getting to the level 75+ maps? I hit a wall around 70-71

I've read that Improved Item Quantity from equipment doesn't affect map drops in maps but I've never seen that confirmed by anyone in GGG, and I've heard the opposite from people in-game

by 70+ do you mean 73 and higher? also how much +rarity/+quantity equipment do you use

For the thousandth time: your own quantity and rarity DOES NOT affect the map drop inside a map!
Only the map intrinsic mod called "item quantity" affect the map drops rate!
Goddamnit
There is no major trick other than rng roll (luck or badluck).
There are some minors tricks like mods like champions/commanders/maze/hordes etc.
