I do have the same Problems.
CPU runs at 40-70% max, VCard is HD 6570. 4 GB RAM. I think it's the preloading which isn't fully done. The game runs fine, but I get sudden spikes when I literally hear the HDD load new Terrain or Skills. Preloading the whole Map and Skills into the RAM would take longer to load, but prevent the freezing, I guess. I tried everything driver wise, old and new drivers, every boarddriver is fine and up to date. Sound on/off doesen't help at all. I'm still running Win XP. |

ya no bsod over here either just a straight freeze to the point wher ethe only thing that works is a hard reboot

i got the same problem but i "fixed" it.
well if I decrease the solution from 1680x1050 to 800x600 i can play the game endless until my eyes cant see that little window any more :D. I dont know why it works in a lower resolution but finally i can play the game without having a blackscreen every minute. AMD Radeon HD 6800 series.... |
