Really? I can't stand that you need to be touching an enemy for it to work (reminds me of Static Strike, which I hate) as opposed to being able to hit around or in front of you like with Cleave, Lightning Strike, or Lacerate. I haven't felt like clear speeds are better with it, but it's certainly a usable skill!

Is it possible to make a physical + attack speed oriented variant of this build.

Sort of. Phys damage doesn't scale so well with Dreamfeather, but you can do something that scales a bit of physical and focuses more on poison and chaos damage: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1646037.

I build my version using full conversion from Phys to Elem and sweet Pathfinder bonuses.
Wild Strike is pain to target with 200%+ movement speed (62K evasion with shitty gear and lvl 17 Grace)...

I am thinking to switch to Ice Crash just to be able to use Shift+attack.
But yeah, chaining part of Wild Strike is very nie for clear speed.
Also, you need no AoE/Projectile nodes for Wild Strike...

Yeah, I find the targeting part isn't too annoying and the added range is amazing
D2 4ever ;)
Since 2011
Tested Lightning Strike, never looked back.

- Unlike Wild Strike, no need to click on somehitng (which is problematic for me with 200+ increased movement speed)
- Unlike AoE (Ice Crash/Cleave/Lacerate/Reave), no need to take AoE nodes
- Unlike both option above, can offscreen

My 6th link would be Chain (swap for Slower Proj on fat bosses). Guess that will outperform other options in clearing speed.

Mmhmm. If your computer can handle it, Lightning Strike is fantastic. Way better than Wild Strike.

I would stick with Lightning Strike + Multistrike + WED + Faster Attacks + Added Lightning + Lightning Pen. You get 40% pierce chance with a quality gem anyway, which isn't ideal, but it's not too shabby when you attack ridiculously fast! Or you could use a non-quality gem and get chain from the Deadeye class without sacrificing the damage that you would with the chain support gem. Yeah, the gem chains more times, but it's still not as good as the setup I listed.

As a high evasion build, do you think it's useful to have a CWDT + Immortal Call setup? Chances are you won't receive two big physical hits in quick succession, but there's always that chance...
You can recieve one small phys hit followed by one big.

For example, some random hit, then Bear Trap (which you cannot evade).

In that case low level CWDT + Call will save you.

Like firemind said, it could save you, but I've been doing just fine without IC since the inception of this build and think it's a waste of a gem slot or two.
