I also prefer solo, but is impossible to maintain a pool map without a group. If you want to play the end game, you have no option, you must party.

Groups add no benefit to map drops. The only benefit to grouping is to run other peoples maps.

This is not true. Every group member ads +10% IIQ to the area. IIQ is the only thing that will increase your chance to get map drops inside maps.
this is old story ... moar people in a party doesnt count in map drops chances.
so, you have the same chances of dropping maps no matter if you play solo or in a party of six.

Like the rest of the game, having multiple players in an area increases the drop rate of items and the experience that monsters yield (while making them more challenging). Under the new system, there is an exception: the drop rate of the Map items themselves is not increased by the additional players (all other items drops in the area are still increased, of course). A Map has the same chance of yielding other Maps regardless of how many players are in it. This is because a single Map item can be used by a whole party, unlike other items that can only be used by one player. The item quantity bonus that a Map has (due to its Mods) will affect the drop rate of Map items within that Map.

It would be nice if this info was on the wiki instead of needed to be dug for in the forums. Guess I will just have to make an account and add it myself.

Thanks for the info.

solo map pool too

Are you suggesting good, usable well rolled items drop consistantly for the average individual, self found?
My experience is polar opposite.
I don't care what your gear looks like or how you got it. It doesn't disprove my point.
At the very least, the amount of time it takes to get well rolled items, self found is much much longer vs trading.
Getting well rolled items for the individual is like winning the lottery in this game. Hense why I call it a casino trading sim. And why I think SCRUB4LIFE makes more sense here.
Or SCRUB4AVERYLONGTIMEWHILEEVERYONEELSEHASMUCHMUCHBETTERGEAR.
Boy that's a long one.

It's too bad the dev's and a majority of the players find trading funner than finding loot.
The loot that drops for the individual is awful. Many many many hours of awful.

I am not suggesting anything. With some knowledge and playing smart you will only keep getting ahead. If you dont want to get any items from another player then you obviously need a lot more patience on the payouts.
