How did you find out about PoE?

Around a year ago I stumbled across this site, wasn't sure where to spend my gaming money. I figured I'll just replay D2LoD til D3 comes out. Bought it and lost interest due to their game design.

Then I read a comment on their forums reminding me about PoE and decided it has a very reasonable value. Plus the features and gaming ideology in this game is by far more in line with the D2 experience.

I originally heard about this game on Blizzard's official Diablo 3 forums.

That really must be pissing the folks over at Blizzard off.

By the shear number of negative threads / posts over there, it is apparent that there is something seriously "missing" from that game.

At least for me, that thing is called "fun".

Of course, for others, it may be something else.

To put it bluntly, players are searching from all over the world for a game that first focuses on "fun" & then builds upon that basic principle.

That's why it's so refreshing to find smaller, independent game developers that first love the games, then love the playerbase-- (and vice versa).

Because without the first, the second could never really exist.

i heard about this game from TB. it was his first impression vid of the game. it looked ok from the footage he had.

it was also around that time(or sometime later), that the open beta weekend happened, so i installed it, the weekend went, and i was happy to say, that this game was awesome. i was also intrigued by the unique economy system, which makes integration of the so called gold farmers into the game much harder.

and so, i have been torturing myself ever since, hoping for a beta key...

I found PoE on a desperate search to quench my hack and slash thirst. D3 did not cut it

Diablo.incgamers thread. Had just been burned by the D3 beta patch 13, which officially put their brilliant 'skill rune system' to sleep permanently, and needed...something.

Someone was complaining about a 'POE beta' so I checked it out.

Then I spent a week watching WINBONER!!! and TB's somewhat dry-in-comparison WTF video.

...that was a hard week. I almost, almost had to beg for a key.

I found about PoE on Diablo 3 forums some time ago, but it's only this weekend that I decided to give it a try.

I must admit that for a game that is still in beta, it's quite impressive.

I heard about PoE from various users on D3 forum and d2jsp.

D3 forums of course :)

I firstly read about it on the D3 forums, but didn't really test it until I randomly saw a gameplay video on youtube and I loved it^^
