Saw a thread about it on [H]ard forum a while back. Didn't put much stock in it, since D3 was right around the corner. Of course now I wish I had just saved the D3 money and put it towards Silver. I would have felt much better and been happier.
Oh to have an orb of regret... I like to picture my kiwi in a tuxedo T-Shirt because it says I want to be formal, but I'm here to party.

A good game isn't about the graphics or how big it is. A good game is one that you play for hours yet seems like minutes.

waited for diablo 3 which i hoped would turn out to be like an up-to-date diablo 1: hellfire.
made a happy dance when i got an invite to a diablo 3 session. played diablo 3. got sad and angry (!!!auction house!!!skill system!!!battle.net!!!give me my money back!!!) searched for something NOT diablo 3. found PoE. watched some gameplay videos. read about the skill gems and economy model. saw the passive skill tree. registered. got supp pack, downloaded the game, played a few minutes (ok, hours). made a happy dance. I can't remember but I have had the wallpaper in my lineup for just over a year now. I remember coming to the page and reading about PoE and thinking it sounded amazing, and so I wouldn't forget I grabbed a couple cool pictures and added them to my wallpapers. :) As blah as I am about That Other Game I am currently playing through normal with all the classes, once I'm done there I'm putting it away while I play PoE.

Heard about PoE while desperately reading the D3 forums to find out why D3 was such a failure...
I was so disappointed.I was trying to find some hope reading about upcoming patches... I was smashing my head on my keyboard trying to kill anything in Inferno Act 2... but there was no hope at all... :( SO I uninstalled that shameless piece of crap that I paid 60$ for, and came here seeking for the holy-grail.. And I found it! Can't... stop... playing... PoE! :) |

I was getting very cynical about the insane loot and mana hyperinflation in Dungeon Defenders. Then someone there mentioned that POE has all the loot grinding for all my needs. I was intirgued. I checked it out. Had to buy a beta key for $9 (this was in March, around 1 month before the release of the supporter packs). Now I'm hooked. Damn you GGG.
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!
