fix your goddamn memory hog game

^ I did keep that in mind... but I also remembered dual merviel, dominus or piety in a elemental ground effect map as beyond mobs are spawning and while in a full party along with spectres such as flame curtains, summons, corpses, blood, particle spam, strongboxes, shrines, CoC spam, etc. Plus how particle effects can clog up memory space anyway even on lower settings if they don't force them out of memory fast enough through frequent forced releases... and I have no idea just how much it can really use to be honest as the game goes on.

Just hoping that the devs take notice of the issue before it is to late.

edit - if anyone is curious how long the project to convert applications of this size from 32 bit to 64 bit is... remember that google chrome's 32 bit client was released in 2008 and they just recently finished the beta of the 64 bit client... another 6 years of work on it for a company the size of google.

Weird, like Slayer, my system must be set up all wrong, it runs at 700-800 :(
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!
But now, you can buy Demonic Reave! How cool is that?

Tried it myself on a 55" high resolution LED tv and it hit the memory cap of 4gb then shut down the game (was running with sweetfx also so...). Of course that isn't exactly normal mainstream resolution but hey... after playing with that and a 7 speaker surround system (with a speaker setup that causes my neighbors' houses to shake) I won't go back to a normal pc setup... LOL

Guess I'll have to tone down the resolution and/or my sweetfx settings :/

Although borderlands 2 has absolutely no issue running at that resolution... even at 2560x1440 resolution it ran smooth as butter (more then that seems to add input lag).

ya, brand new backlit LED one for my entertainment center... had to get it as i was drooling in the store over it but I can't run that high because it sadly runs in 60hz in that mode... but it will run faster in 2560x1440 mode as long as I use hdmi 2.0 cables

edit - I'm such a whore for new toys and shines, lol... but now that I have it its painful to use a normal monitor anymore

oops, sorry it was 55" not 52" and it's just LED, not OLED... I wanted OLED but the price range was insane. I mixed the one I got with the one I wanted.
Mine was 2.4k for led, while the OLED I was tempted to get was almost 7k at the time.

Figured it wasn't OLED. Unless you *really* got cash burning a hole. Nice tv though, and totally not surprised it runs past the 4GB.

4k monitor is my next purchase. Just waiting for panel quality to improve. Too many manufacturers using TN.

Was planning on a build with the new 8C Haswell, but with gpus looking to be on 28nm til next year, I've decided to wait.
^ that is actually why I had to scale down my purchase despite almost dry humping the OLED tv in the store. Building myself a multi cpu xeon rackmount server (with a another rackmount server containing 30 300 gb scsi drives I got at a auction) for a server room that used to be a utility closet and for wiring my house with giganet (got a rackmount 24 port gigabit router at auction also) through the walls and I had to maintain my budget. Going to use it as a video server for my house and I needed something to watch it on (it wasn't for games, originally for hd video).

The other thing I was looking at was a oculus rift... still waiting on that one out until I find out what facebook is planning to do with it as I inherently distrust them and was (and still am) pissed that they bought that kickstarted project out.

I play on a 26" tv and use vsync.
I have a gtx 640 1gb ram, i7 2.6ghz processor and 12gb of ram.
I was playing summoner with at least two guys using incinerate totems on the docks yesterday and we were all fine...
