1.2 Tanky Dual Flame Totems - Beyond/HC viable.

At work, so I'll make this more detailed at a later time.

Haven't seen many Templar Dual Flame totem builds, so I thought I would toss you my current one.

One main issue with totems is they die too quickly.

What fixes this:




With Cybil's, Totems gain the life on hit. You will also need to take advantage of your block chance (this is awesome, because it helps both totem damage and your survivability!)

• Flame Totem > GMP > Fire Pen > Faster Projectiles > Faster Casting > IIR/Added Chaos Dmg

• Reduced Mana > Clarity > Discipline > Aura of your choice

• Lightning Warp > Reduced Duration (or if you're savvy, weapon swap Leap slam)

• Go defensive with CWDT and some gems if needed.

Honestly this build is very totem-related, so you can use other gems as you choose. I'll probably end up using CWDT > Immortal Call once I hit maps.

At some point I want to try Vaal Summon Skeletons in situations where there's ~50 mobs on the screen, to help distract the mobs from hitting you before the totems trigger their agro.

Pros:
• Fast clearing speeds (solo Beyond is cake - No fear of the portal mobs getting to you)

• Cheap! (most expensive piece is Cybil's (~6 Chaos) - eventually you could get Cloak of Defiance for MoM and the mana regen to help Arctic Armour

• Character safety (as long as you time your totem placement, making the mobs agro towards them and not you! basically as soon as I see a mob at the edge of my screen, I cast the totems ~3 inches in front of me and then back up a little bit. The mobs as soon as you see them will start to chase you, but your totems will get in the way as long as you cast them fast enough)

Cons:
• Needing Dex on gear - shouldn't be too hard to find cheap gear with dex, but I can't think of many cons at the moment so I put this here :P



Bulletpoints:
• As soon as you can afford it, use Arctic Armour

• With ele reflect, I also cast Warlord's Mark, so the totems leech way more

• Bandits: Oak, kill, kill

NOTE: I'm leveling a ton of random gems - and am only lvl 62 - Do not think that you need the same gems as me.

It's at around 1,500 I believe. But keep in mind with GMP you're potentially hitting the same mob with 5-10 streams.

Nice - Just remember, against ele reflect, cast Warlord's Mark as the totems will leech off that as well!

Was wondering about your thoughts on echo spell instead of Faster cast.

I got an echo shrine earlier today and it seemed to just straight up double my dps.

I've got both faster cast and echo and am willing to test when I get the links.

as far as i know Spellecho does not apply to totems.

Maybe it only updated the tooltip number because normally my totems have around 900 but when I had the echo shrine they had 1.8k.

Also, Looking for thoughts on the Three Dragons helm. Since i don't run a Fire trap setup.
