Why is this game not more popular
I like how a lot of people ignored Desync and the ability to just Portal back to Town > Gain Full Health/Mana then go back in.
Desync is not a joke its real and its stopping people from enjoying PoE. A Famous LeagueofLegends player HotshotGG who gets 8k+viewers on twitch has come out and said he will never be able to play PoE because of it. 18k+ free advertisement. I also remember a player for TSM arguably the most popular Team saying it aswell.(I think it was Dyrus - gets 10+Viewers) Last edited by RudBoy1018#4247 on Aug 18, 2014, 11:05:59 PM

It doesn't hold the players' hand.. and isn't easy.
Unfortunately, to keep going, it will have to gradually move that direction and already has to some degree. Even "easy" games designed to last for years and years gradually give players more things for less effort over time. " ... to let them know the game isn’t going to be very fair from here on out."

" Rare items in D2 were far more often vendor trash than in PoE. The only advantage of D2 were the tighter loot tables, so you could farm specific items more deliberately.
Each game has its own target audience/customers.
Think of a bell curve with X axis as game difficulty/complication level and y axis as player population. While that this is absolutely over-simplifying the gaming industry, the idea is there. The original, standard tetris tends to be on the easy side of the curve. League of Legend and WOW(somewhat) tend to be in the middle of the scale. Path of exile is on the right side of the scale. |

" Not getting invaded by the LoL type of players is indeed a tragic loss for the PoE community.
" D2 fanboys dont see the issues that game had, they see only the few good things it pioneered in. |

Probably because the early game is boring as hell. Everybody I've shown the game to hasn't played longer than an act or 2 because it's so slow paced and the skills don't feel exciting.

" When you learn the LeagueofLegends TYPE of community makes up 98% of gaming you would delete your comment. League of legends, Dota2, CS:Go, Hearthstone, CoD those communities makeup the Gaming community. Last edited by RudBoy1018#4247 on Aug 18, 2014, 11:41:04 PM

I didn't find this game until half way through this year.
Of course advertising costs money and a f2p game doesn't have the same budget for launch as p2p. It's really too bad. |

" I know that gaming communities are run over by LoL-type of kiddies, which is why I'm glad they stay where they are. Of course I'm generalizing, but I disagree that "League of legends, Dota2, CS:Go, Hearthstone, CoD those communities makeup the Gaming community." I do agree that they make up 100% of the people whom I have no interest in sharing my recreation time with. PoE's community can be pretty immature and toxic too, but overall I find people here a lot more pleasant. From an economic perspective, having PoE appeal to those communities would be desirable. But from a community perspective, they wouldn't be -- at least not to me. Last edited by Mivo#2486 on Aug 18, 2014, 11:47:51 PM
