People are going bananas over the ES buffs

Not to mention life can use things like AA, lightning coil, MoM easier than ci and all those things were the fotm last patch.

the problem of course is that you tap the flask and can then be frozen again an instant later causing you to consume all your charges very quickly.
Now if you give up es gear for es/armor gear then getting a lv70-74 map worthy gear set is a little easier now. Same with being able to shift to CI earlier. I think they will leave es max on gear the same as before and instead just buff the lower level base items so CI can be done by act 3 normal. Still CI + ZO pushing for high es and regen could net you 1k+ per second es regen. It makes pure es regen more viable as well for fighting things like 78 dominus.


Dem 9 second freezes tho... is why I don't see CI in pvp

this wont be as bad this patch - most es nodes have also life % on them. planning my CI build i inadvertently picked up 60% life. this coupled with life per level and life from gear (there WILL be some life rolls, lets not pretend that we all run perfect pieces) will bring 'hidden' life values of CI players MUCH higher than pre 1.2

lvl 80: ~1000 (initial 50 + 960 from levels) and lets say 250-300 from other sources including mandatory strength (reduced mana) at 60% == ~2000hp of hidden hp. WAY more than pre 1.2

true. i was amazed at how smoothly the development of my first CI character was.

the 2nd was even easier. think i made the jump to CI act 2 of cruel or something.

looks like you'll be able to do it even sooner now.

Its possible to make a eb, ci, blood magic char too but whether it makes sense or not is a different story. Cutting your ES and armor in half to dodge attacks less than half the time and spend a bunch of points doing so does not make much sense.

yes, it would be stupid, but who cares when you still have 10k ES?

current CI builds already reach ~17k ES when maxing. they'll probably reach over 20k ES with v1.2.
things are gonna get pretty retarded.
