want a key? puzzle time (still, still unsolved) HINTS GIVEN PG 31

That is correct, I am fishing to see f I might be on the right path.

but don;t tell him that...maybe he won;t notice ;)
Greetings

Troll or not, this puzzle is at least giving me something to do. The thing giving me the most trouble is how the 6 excluded numbers fit into the puzzle. Would any extra clues in that area be possible?
Incidentally, what is the going rate for rescuing Princesses these days? Food would be a good start -- the good stuff, mind you.

I will agree, I have abandoned the extra numbers and am just working on patterns. He either found an algorithm online or just made up a random movement sequence.
so each set of 4 are the correct number/letters in that set right?
omg I thought of how I am going to give away my key if I ever get one.

We will play mastermind with it....Might be hard for me to keep up with guesses though.
Well, this doesn't work but I should at least get points for creativity, and maybe this train of thought will help someone else.

We have a series of "exiled" numbers from the data set.

Those numbers can correspond with letters (though based on his responses I have a feeling they dont)

If they did however, we would have

10,11,16,19,21,22
J,K,P,S,U,V

Now, some of those letters appear in the given key, some do not...

J,P and U are missing.

N- not there
Y- there

J,K,P,S,U,V
N,Y,N,Y,N,Y

This on/off pattern could be considered a "Path of Exile" for the letters.

When that pattern is placed parallell to the key we get this:

B7RAF-C2HBS-TFK6V-S4DNX
NYNYN-YNYNY-NYNYN-YNYNY

Now, as we all know Friend invites must start with FR, and both F and R are "NO's". However, they are backwards.

If we pull all the No's in sequence and reverse them we get

NNNYY-NNYYY-NNNYY-NNYYY
FRBYY-B2YYY-VKTYY-N4YYY

This is the only logical way I could think of to put the No's into the proper sequence to get an FR opening.

Then again, I am probably putting way too much thought into this.

It will most likely turn out to be something incredibly simple but internet high fives for creativity huh!!

The problem I have with this is that he's repeatedly said everyone is thinking too mathematically. I think the solution is not going to be a traditional decoding, but rather something.. straightforward but obscure.

It's not a puzzle, it's a 'guess my arbitrary logic' "contest".
However, do we know for sure that it is a Friend Key?

Thanks to MOOMANiBE, Chris, and the GGG Team for the beta hook-up.
