One of the bandits has an AoE that tears minions apart, but in my low 20s I was able to keep summoning skeletons two by two and they were able to slowly take him down. Not a vey impressive fight, but I won. I'd never have attempted that in hardcore though.
So how do you level a summoner in HC past that point?
Grab a party to kill Kaitlyn, always help oak in normal for the hp. Alira is easy.

Form a party or grind up until you are over-leveled, I guess.
I play softcore because I don't like having those sorts of problems :-)
