no offense to whoever posted that other thread, but honestly, GGG has been hinting at these ideas since back in closed beta.
Sorry to take the thunder away, but Chris said long ago he basically eventually would add all these things to the game. I even remember a discussion on 6 linking items where Chris said "what do you guys think about a way to get it with 1500 fusings guaranteed?" and everyone was like yeah cool R.I.P. my beloved P.o.E.

" Ok I guess a better way to put it, is GGG has already had ideas of things they wanted to add to the game for a very long time, but its entirely possible the implementations were influenced by posts like the one you linked. Chris wanted a 1500 fusing recipe for a long time, but he probably initially just considered a vendor recipe like everything else. The actual implementation that we see is the crafting benches. I guess that is what I was trying to say. :) Either way, cant wait!!! R.I.P. my beloved P.o.E.

I don't see the connection between that thread and the expansion, and it just becomes outright confusing after reading the title of this thread (endgame sandbox, etc). Not seeing it.
