people are confusing a script which automatically logs you out if you lose a certain amount of health with a macro that logs you out with a single key stroke. Both could be referred to as "auto-logout" but one is bad and the other is fine.

It's fine to use a macro for logging out.

He is talking about a one button key bound log out, not a log out that reads your HP from RAM files, then AUTO logs out if it gets too low.

People will never get banned for scripts, or even stuff that reads from RAM unfortunately. It's near impossible/illegal for GGG to do so.

Most people in HC picked up the chicken script in Invasion during the 1st 2 weeks as some bosses were just insta death if they had more than 2 seconds on you before the nerfs. I cant remember how many times I had insta log when I saw the black spider on my eva/acrobatics character, 0 armor and -60 chaos resist vs EK with added chaos doesn't last more than 0.5 seconds against him.

Logging out is pretty much a mechanic in the game, meaning every good HC player will only rip to things that kill them faster than a second or two. Meaning you still have to gear, build, and play better and more carefully than people in SC.
