I am arguing what I THINK could be true, and I am arguing against the claim that there isn't enough support. I am not arguing against because I know there is enough I am arguing against because they don't know and are just guessing themselves. Its a pointless circle. Both sides are claiming assumptions as fact.
Is there a popular support for a SFL? Yes. Are we willing to pay extra for it? That is to be determined, but GGG since CB has talked about custom leagues for those that wish to pay for it. Is there a vocal population that wishes we would go away? Yes. But we wield as much power as you do. ZERO. Get over yourselves and telling others to leave. Does PoE need a SFL? No. Really it doesn't. Also doesn't have to have trading or Ambush or Cutthroat or anything else. I have never advocated for a SFL, but agreed that if someone was willing to put their money where their mouth is to contact me. I'll open my wallet. But what is certain. Crafting in PoE as is, is a joke. Hence the problem for us SFO players. I can not beat the game playing alone and trading and playing with others is worse than not playing at all for me. You like trading? Then trade. Like to play in parties? Then party up. Don't like that I don't? I could care less, but it would take an act of God to get there. |

" Why would I care about you getting a poll? I really don't care about who is interested in this idea, that SHOULD be your concern since you are the ones who want it. If I wanted something that badly I would sure as hell try to find support for it, but I guess that is just me. I am trying to do you people a service by showing you what a silly little idea a SFL is and explaining to you why it won't ever be implemented. You can waste your time fretting about it all you want, but if that is actually a deal breaker for you I suggest in the mean time you search for a different game since you are wasting your time. Paid leagues are a different matter, it seems like GGG might have scrapped the idea but if not, cool w/e. |

Right, you are just trying to 'help' us by explaining what we want is wrong. /Facepalm man. In this thread, there have been as many people for as against. In the poll it was nearly 70% for and another 10-15 possibly for depending on details. We already HAVE shown, as far as we can, that there are a few of us. All we can do is make noise and hope GGG decides to try it out.
Which we are doing. Do I expect it to work? Not really. Does that mean Ill stop just because of that? Nope. Not sure why that bothers you so much. I do like how when we dont even make claims the burden of proof is on us, but whenever you do its ok because 'you dont really care' Whatever, sleep time for me. IGN

Everyone who is for this idea has clearly demonstrated to me that no such argument exists, and that they have no evidence of significant support for the idea, and as a result I will most likely withdraw from the discussion. " You are correct, the burden of proof would be on me to show that you can get sufficient numbers from the forum. I just don't care to prove that claim. If I'm right, it means that you don't have support for the idea, if I'm wrong, it means that you don't have support for the idea. Either way it doesn't effect my point of view at all. |
