Ok has anyone used Thousand Teeth unique? Build?

I would go for a life based max normal block+some spell block(rainbowstride and 12% passive) character that uses physical dmg as his main dmg type. As a curse vulnerability because it increases reflect dmg as well.

Maybe take Iron Reflexes as well but its a pretty big stretch from the 12% spellblock node to reach it. Im not sure here, you can take IR+spellblocknode, take neither or just one of them i think everything can work out good. Just thought IR would make the armour from anvil and evasion from shield synergize better but 12% spellblock is huge if you have 78% normal block already.

Nothing that special but not much item stats wasted(es on rainbowstride), cheap and overall pretty solid.

Theorey wise: Max block so include Rainbow Strides for max Spell block too. Bramble Jack and Punishement to give between 79-95% melle physical damage back to attacker + 200-1000 physical damage from Teeth and Anvil on block?

Guess it one or the other as if you block then you dont reflect from Bramble Jack and punishment? I guess I have to take the hit first and not block it?

Maybe Magnate Belt also increases physical damage output? Stack block, life, resists and life regen as you won't have much armour. Helms you could go Leer cast for flat dmg reduction (dont think it affects the dmg reflected? Not sure?) Or MoM + EB + Mindspiral. This may also increase Tempest shield dmg?

I'm not good with numbers so not sure if it can work? But that was my basic ideas in a nutshell.

Sadly, punishment it's useless since it reflects damage when you take a hit. Having 78% block prevents any hit in 78% of cases so punishment will proc only 22% of the times. Also as wiki states punishment will reflect damage after armor calculation so if you have high armor punishment is basically useless.

The same applies to bramble jack. I wouldn't use it. This build needs damage on block not damage reflected when hit.

Tempest shield is imo the only other skill that can be useful for this build. Linking it with added light + light pen + life leech it's already a good idea, pair it with static blows and you could shockstack mobs while they hit you

I'd go with this setup for the build:

amulet: the anvil ( 200-250 damage)
armor: lightbane (desecrated ground on hit)
Boots: rainbow strides (spell block)
veil of the nigh (1-200 light dmg on block) if you like suicides
thousand theet (1-1000)

but honestly, with this suicide setup you can deal 202-1450 combined damage on block which i'ts just too low. Maybe can go up to 2.5k with a 6 linked tempest shield

Problem with that build would be any single target. We need some active skill, and everyone seem to ignore the life leech thingy.

Imo, this shield sucks - Rathpide globe does it way better. It gives you spell damage which bumps tempest shield damage. Not to mention hp and spell block.

those 160dex are really anoying just to get a medicore shield for your minions

i think i could top the necromantic aegis idea...
my idea was to use Shackles of the Wretched to curse yourselfe with punishment, then attack really fast like cyclone with 2.x attackspeed weapon and then you block the reflected dmg and your shield makes dmg...
but i think i would not work... i already tryed this with an aegis aurora, cause if the healing effect would work with it, you could create a es gain on hit effect... and if you stack attackspeed and armor you could be able to get 20k es per sec... but it dont work.
perhaps somebody here has any idea, or perhaps some ggg guy could tell me my mistake...
it would be so epic if it would work.

I play an acrobatics crit dagger build with this shield, due to its high block, life leech, max life, it was a great replacement for Crest of Perandus. Used with Stone of Lazhwar the evasion/dodge/block/spell dodge/spell block combo is so satisfying.

Went pvp with my gf's CI arc witch the other day just to see what would happen and after a few kills I just stood doing nothing taking no damage while she killed herself on me in a few casts. I run Hatred and Tempest Shield too, which I assume helped.

maybe facebreaker will work on it if unarmmed?
