What do you guys think what Vaal Gems are, they are what the gems would be if they were implanted in you at full power instead of in your gear and requiring the souls of many people just to fire once.

but they aren't implanted, we're talking about permanent character modifications

Gemlings inbedded the gems in their flesh. We put them in Armor slots. We are infinitely more intelligent, imo.
