1 month sc league only? Why no HC

Hide your e-peen guys. Its great, its big and all that,But think without it for a second.

This is an optional league. Its not even a month to begin with.Wth is your problem?

Did you mind when charity race was hardcore only?Which one might should find it odd, since it was done for charity and for the masses.

WTH is your problem? Why in your right mind even complain for something short termed, which is a filler to the new leagues?
Bye bye desync!
I remember the Athene interview with Chris (about half a year ago), where Chris stated GGG is inclined to make a solo 1-week or 1-month race/league.

Solo, preferably HC.

Still waiting.

If the league would have been SC it would have been the otherway arround. There was a 2 week HC league already some time ago, so I guess its only fair to make it SC imo. I personally do not like HC that much, a small race every now and then is fun though. I like to play casually and not living on the edge the whole time with the chance to die and need to reroll.

What I do not get is that you cannot have fun in a SC league if you mostly play HC. Its a nice combined addition from all past leagues including strong boxes more exiles. Its only one month might as well have some fun right :).

True HC players cannot have fun in a SC environment, simply because they derive most of the fun from the risk a HC environment involves. It's a psychological thing (and not an "elitist" one, as many believe).

So explain to me then, why "if you die, delete the char" does not work?

I tell you right away - it is not the psychology, it is the bragging. So yes, an elitist thing indeed. And mind me, I have nothing against elitist, I just do not like thing not spoken out in truth

This simply doesn't work because of ladder. A ladder where noobs dying once per instance are higher than you dying only once in the whole month, is beyond stupid.

SC is not a HC environment. This doesnt fall under "elitism", but "level playing field competition".

99 % of all previous races have been HC be it 1 month , 1 week or 2 weeks. And the softcore players although there are more than HC players, never started a riot.

Lol, it is funny when people cite how their 'hardcore' experience is shattered because of a change in their shopping.

-_-
Casually casual.

Eh, I can understand the decision.

It's hard to predict just how mixing up all these modifiers will interact. I mean we're going to have Invaders with 20% move, cast and attack speed. We're going to have Strongboxes with the same bonus. We're going to frequently get Invaders next to Rogue Exiles. Strongboxes guarded by rares with Nemesis mods etc.

Considering how Invasion started off I don't think the decision to make this league SC only is that weird. I'd rather they don't have HC for a month and then release a 4-month HC league that's properly balanced than have a repeat of Invasion at the start.

Just run a hardcore one too. We don't even care about prizes. A lot of us simply get no rush out of the game in a softcore environment.
