Can anyone from GGG or the community offer a sensible reason for their existence? It would be helpful to get a perspective from the other side. |

I dont see anything wrong with their existence...
Its an extremely rare item that does something amazing... Regarding eternals one can still yolo exalt with their existence... its just a failsafe for the extremely rich, again dont see anything wrong with them, even though I've never had such. EDIT: Regarding the RMT deal: AFAIK RMTers cant create mirrors out of nothing. and I find it extremely wrong to remove a dream from players because of cancerous sites. I actually had enough ex to craft a mirror worthy item, I started looking around to what isn't already out and would be decently worthy of a mirror and a 40-80ex fee. I realized anything worth value had already been crafted and there was in the literal sense almost nothing for me to craft that would be picked over the current reigning #1 spots
Eternals made crafting supremely easy for being who at their release with 1000+ Exalts (*Cough* Ventor*Cough*) and they could just hit a single item into the ground until they got what they wanted. |

" This is my problem with externals and mirrors. Even when I have that much extra currency it isn't worth crafting because everything has already been made. It's extremely lame and eternals/mirrors should be reevaluated. |

if these orbs are proven to be problematic, all they have to do is disable them from dropping in new leagues.

" This elitist comment and ALL elitist comments of this nature needs to be addressed. If these items were level gated, then you may have a small reason to oppose my interest in this topic. This is NOT the case though. These items can drop any time and anywhere, and therefore are part of the game to be used (or not) regardless of character level. Also, in PoE it is entirely possible for people to have no characters at all yet be sitting atop of hundreds of mirrors and eternals and holding several ridiculous "mirror serviceable" pixel groups. There is NO level requirement on caring about the future of Path of Exile. So kindly step down from your self appointed podium and realize that this game is not all about YOU. |
