Lightning Warp cannot ever be cast while it's in progress. Casting the spell sets up a delayed effect that will teleport the caster at a later date - casting again during this time does nothing, so echo would leave the character uselessly performing a nonfunctional cast. Lightning warp doesn't work with echo for much the same reason as auras - it's not a spell that functionally makes sense to repeat in general.
In the specific case where the character reduces the duration enough (or lowers their cast speed enough) for the duration of the warp to expire, it could theoretically be repeated, but a) supports either work or don't, they can't only work for this case, and b) you'll be in the location that the first warp targeted, which is invalid to target with lightning warp, and repeated spells always keep the same target - so even in that case the repeat would target your own location, and get teleported instead to a random location because that's invalid, meaning you'd loose all control of where you teleported to.
One of the biggest things that drew me to path of exile was every time I used a support gem and thought it wouldn't work, but it did....that craziness of being able to use skills in ways they were not seemingly intended to be used was just so exciting and added so much depth. Since I learned that there might be such a support gem for spells, I have been so excited to use it with lightning warp, first on traps (which I found out wouldn't work) then with self-cast, which also doesn't work. So crushed.

Then why multistrike works with leapslam?
I thought spell echo was similar to multistrike, clearly isnt mean to be that...
I feel really disappointed, i was really hoping to see spell echo working with lighting warp, I always wanted to have a build based on this skill, you even have an unique armor for this skill, but it cant work if you dont have a way to warp faster.
I immagined spell echo would allow you to warp 2 times around a target. Because if you see how Lighting warp works, you never warp upon a target, you warp(land) near the target, Apparently it doesnt, i hope you reconsider and fix it so you can allow Lighting warp builds to start appearing.

Because leap slam is fundamentally very different to lightning warp and can be repeated as soon as the action is done, which lightning warp can't - all the things I explained in my first post about lightning warp don't apply to leap slam because it's an entirely different skill that doesn't work at all the same.
There's basically no comparison between how the two skills work beyond both of them eventually resulting in you being in a different place.

All you'll ever really need to know is that if a support gem has "works with supported spells/attacks" there is going to be something that won't work with it and now that it's been confirmed not to work you can stop the QQ about it and move on
