Steam error: There has been a patch that you need to update to
Can't get the game to work. Keep's saying the update just finished, and every time I click log in, it gives the same error message.
Can someone give me a list of things to try and resolve this? Cheers, Ben FiftyShadesOfBlade Last edited by bendot#5349 on Jun 16, 2014, 1:03:44 PM

Also this in the Client.txt logs:

Also when I restart steam the little update window appears the first time I click on -> play, and it says ready to launch.
It clearly isn't, as steam has cocked it up with its shitty updater. And I've just noticed when I 'verify integrity of game cache' it immediately starts and finished a 0 byte download. So something has failed, and steam doesn't have a manual force re-update system. FiftyShadesOfBlade Last edited by bendot#5349 on Jun 16, 2014, 1:19:27 PM

" Exactly the same for me. Actually, when I first opened Steam today the downloads list had a 7.5 MB update for PoE that "completed" instantly. PoE patches and Steam have never worked very well for me. By that I just mean they took unreasonably long, they would download 2 MB and stop for 3 minutes, then another 2 MB. And it's never been that bad with any other Steam game. Personally, I'm uninstalling the Steam version immediately and going back to standalone, but GGG should still look into this. |

Same for me, can't login anymore! Also, no way to force a re-download of the latest patch.

Moreover steam is a pain in the ass. After one hour I decided to delete and reinstall. But steam won't delete local content. After deleting myself, steam won't reinstalle PoE... (insta finish install, 0B/0B downloaded...) Before I had a PoE wokring but not connecting Now I have no more PoE. |
