I suggest :

-install your GPU performance tool, so you can manually set GPU for any application used on your PC. :)

- check your GPU forums to see what is latest supported driver used for your GPU, cause newsest drivers may cause the problem

- get bsod viewer or windbg, so you could actually see why you get bsod(if you do get a bsod)

- Win 7 ultimate has bugged desktop backgrounds(can you imagine). pick a casual one instead of "fancy" Aero...

- set same resolution for your desktop and PoE or at least set that your GPU overrides your desktop settings

- if you have System disc and data disc for applications, re-install Win but dont forget to manually save bookmarks and passwords even if browser is installed on data disc. :)

- flash your motherboard with latest Bios(be very sure you use right Bios) for example. my MoBo has three rev. 1.0 1.2 and one more. :S

- check for your current PC errors with Event viewer

Yes, I tried a lot and seems it works now. \o/

First I would try to exclude an issue with the gpu driver and remove the current driver in safe mode with Driver Sweeper.
Also particularly remove that DLL file and reboot as usual to install the latest driver.

It's best to test multiple driver versions.

Fruc13 : reread my first post, this happens in winxp. I reinstalled windows many times and use the latest drivers. And with a virgin system, I still got those crashes. I also use windbg and bsod viewer, it gives what I wrote. Desktop and game have same resolutions. My mobo has latest bios. etc. Please any other ideas to test so we can find the origin of the bug ? Anyone has the same crashes with their ati drivers ?

Also: Why are you on Windows XP.

How is the temperature of the GPU?

Are you able to test the GPU in another computer to exclude your computer from being the issue?

I tried win7 and win8, they are pieces of shit that even my toilets would not accept. I like xp, because it's light, fast and works good. Except with this game. When I will not have the choice anymore, I will move to linux and never come back again to microsoft.

I don't understand your method with the driver, can you explain better ? Why should I remove my driver ? I already tried different version of drivers, with a clean windows : 14.4 and 13.12. Same result. Why is your method better than a clean windows ? Faster ? I don't care about faster. I am already using the latest driver.

GPU is at 60C during the game. I don't have any other pc to test the GPU, too bad.
Win 7 and 8 are pieces of shit and you like Win XP? That doesn't make any sense at all. Do you know how outdated XP is? You just don't like 7 and 8 because you are used to XP and don't want to adjust or don't like changes. Windows 7 at least is a lot better as XP (Win 8 too BTW).

Are you aware that MS doesnt release updates for XP anymore? Keeping XP is also a major security concern.

And you need to remove the driver like I mentioned, with Driver Sweeper, did you do that?

Why you should remove the driver?

You should remove it with driver sweeper. When you don't know what the problem is, to find it, the best method is to start isolating the problem instead of trying random possible fixes.

By isolating the problem you can try possible fixes more focussed.

For example when you put the GPU in another computer and the problem is gone, you know that it's related to your XP machine (or the driver on that machine) and that it's not related to the GPU itself.

So again, please start with removing the driver in SAFE MODE WITH DRIVER SWEEPER AND PARTICULARLY REMOVE THAT DLL FROM THE ERROR, reboot as usual and reinstall the driver.

Also check your event viewer for errors please.

If I were GGG I would just tell you XP isnt supported and we can talk again after you've upgraded

You are always here trolling the forum.

I tried many times to talk to you normally, but it seems you are here only to make trouble and be unpolite and provocative to people.
So now, I will make you no present and I will treat you the way you deserve : hard.

I am free to use windows xp, so please dont tell me which os I should use or not, mind your business, instead of going in the forum and telling people what they should use or not !

I know that xp is outdated, so what, I am using it, since it is supported by the game. And when not anymore, I will move to linux or not play the game at all. Who fucking cares ? I am still free to chose what I want.

I wont use your Driver sweeper. [removed by support]

I already know how to isolate bugs, by reinstalling windows clean and checking each driver one by one.

You know...i'm usually the on that gets accused of "trolling" these forums but i really don't and neither is Startkabels.

You may not like what he is saying but what he is trying to do is help you and you are being pig ignorant and having a wee rage fit.

The sad fact is that XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, the longer you wait to change to a modern OS the more problems you will have and i really don't think GGG are obligated to continue support for something Microsoft themselves are letting die.

Just why won't you use driver sweeper? it is a trusted tool and for many many many people with driver problems the only way to reliably remove borked driver files(just uninstalling doesn't work) again this is just you being stubborn and it's only making the matter worse.

The reason you don't see a GGG post is because not only are support extremely busy, but that they have seen this thread ans seen that someone is taking the time to help you and suggesting the things they would suggest.
