This giveaway has inspired me in many ways!
First I had to come up with a way of finding a number that had not been guessed before. I used Mathematica for that, and an hour of my life copying the previous guesses. It was a chore, but it was worth it if I win something. If someone can tell me how to write brackets in forum posts that actually appear, I can copy-paste the Mathematica code that finds a number that have not been guessed before. This is also an interesting exercise in probability. At which point should you guess to maximalize your chances of winning? This one I have to solve tommorrow, it's past midnight here I'm too tired. For those interested here are the list of numbers already guessed, they are in increasing order. By my count there have been 680 valid guesses, and 459 unique among them (not counting my guess, but counting the number 1337 as a valid guess even tho it has no chance of winning). Since I used my guess, I might as well share my results.
