Use for 5 button mouse

I have a Razer Naga. 17 buttons, all working. Heaven.

Even if mouse software comes with a mouse to let you rebind the buttons, that's far from an effective solution since they are usually global and not software specific. Most games I play recognize my mouse 4, 5, 6 and 7 buttons, I've bound those buttons in all of them, changing them to keypresses in my logitech software fixes them for PoE but breaks them for every other game.

No. You can set it to specific exe. So when you use poe.exe it binds it to what you've chosen. When you exit the game, they go back to normal.

I know some software allows that (I can do that with my gamepad for example), but not what came with my mouse and I'm not really concerned enough to go looking for 3rd party stuff.

I found it annoying as well, and use autohotkey (Google it) for my side buttons. I wish they would allow mouse button 4/5 to be mapped.

And for the accidental zoom issue: you can just rebind it. I have it on pgup/pgdown. Careless middle mouse spam.

edit: just checked. you might have to disable mousewheel zoom in the options as well.
