The old dragon knight is real fun when you dont have a sheild. Walk through the fog gate. Have a spear instantly through your body even if you roll. COOL

Bout to finish my sorc's playthrough soon :X I had to summon people for old dragon slayer ( We call him Orenstein ) He gave me trouble on newgame+ on my vanilla yolo warrior haha I wanted to do him alone because in my first play through on warrior toon I summoned people so when I fought him in newgame+ I didn't know wtf I was doing :( so I died probably like 10-15 times before learning his pattern.

Dex/hex builds are the best ones Imo, for both PVE and PvP. And miracles for the "last" bosses, throne defenders and Nashandra. Very good way to farm souls and decried item(s) for helping others.

But as always, It's up to one and each one to find their "BiS" Items and build.

Got any guide sitting around that you followed? I just want to find out how builds work in this game. Im pretty lost.

Don't use guides man! Just like the first game you should be able to survive on intuition alone! Okay, maybe not quite true, I did have a friend that was playing it at the same time and we shared discoveries between each other.

Still though, the first game isn't dependent on luck/finding the right way, it's actually fairly linear if you don't take the Master Key as a gift item during character creation. During the latter half of the game is when you get a decent choice of which order to do things in and none of the choices should be too hard for you by that point in the game.

I'll admit, I played a super tanky character in the first game which pretty much rendered me invulnerable to everything except stupidity xD

Maybe growing up on hard NES games and their unintuitiveness and DOS FPS games have helped me to better understand a lot of the stuff Dark Souls throws at players, or playing as a weak spell caster is just awful.

Nope Russell, I played my first playthrough for like 140 hours to get to know the game. `(on ng.):P

But If you want some pointers and don't care about Soul Level and just want to get through the game with some easy cheap tricks, which the pve situation for the game feels for me. It's all about miracles and hexes sadly. And sorcery.

Get 40/40 in faith / int, 26 strg so you can use a heavy club. Make It Into a dark wep.

Get Great Lightning Spear, Resonant Soul, Great Resonant Soul, a chime with dark ench and a chime with lightning enchant.

It's a quite strait forward build, works for pvp if you so want aswell, but mainly a fast phased pve build that makes the game into a cake walk. :)

How to you make a weapon "dark" though and how do you enchant weapons with elements and all this. This is where im getting real lost haha. Also wtf do I do with these boss souls! Btw I thought the snake lady boss 10+ times before I red a guide and found out I had to burn some random windmill thing to remove the poison from her room. TBH that kinda thing is a LITTLE silly. Should have put a fire or somthing next to it so I could light the torch on it and go hmmmm I am meant to do something with this!

you get a ''dull'' ember to make it dark or resin it be fore warned though infusing has it's downsides :x then give it to the crazed blacksmith in lost Bastille. A resin just makes a TEMP buff with no downsides however it's well temporarily and usually cost a bit, A infusion is pretty much make 1/2 damage of both Dark and Physical sacrificing stat scaling as well etc

Just go to the wiki and stuff and you will find all stuff about upgrading.
