It's still bad. Apparently, some genius had the bright idea of adding the Hearthstone servers, that recently allowed ipad downloads, to be on the d3 servers. It's desyncing like crazy lol.

Losing bounties or a rift is nothing compared to losing a map in PoE.
Rubberbanding is also nothing compared to PoE's desync. What MortalKombat said about those 3 issues is true. |

" In RoS case, it means "once in a evening". But yes, considering your definitions, PoE desync and RoS rubberbanding are on equal grounds, because _it can happen_. The problem, that in RoS it happens every few hours and in PoE every few minutes, is probably not worth mentioning ;) Anticipation slowly dissipates...

" Both waste my time. And dying to desync or dying to rubberbanding/lag makes no difference to me either. At least in POE you can make a desync-immune build, in D3 you're at the server's mercy no matter what you play. Bottom line is both games suffer due to being forced online and would be better off with an offline mode. Shop closed until further notice. Check out my Dominus musical tribute instead:

What is the point in discussing desync in D3 compared to PoE? Please tell me. PoE uses a different system as normal games, that's why you don't see desync in D3 for example. All of this has been clearly clarified numerous times. Is the D3 system better? Maybe... Should PoE have gone with different mechanics on order to use the same system? Maybe... WHAT IS THE POINT. PoE is using a different system and probably doesn't have the resources to switch to a different client/server design now. We know that they are doing their best to address is issue, nothing more to say about it really. If you want to discuss more, go to the developers manifesto thread... |
