I Play Diablo III Because of Path of Exile's Problems

which gets to the heart of PoE's problems.

My take from maps which are considerably harder than Piety are not considerably better.

Why does GGG not think that's a problem ?

The _only_ reason I bother with higher level maps is for experience. By level 84 or so, the high level maps will be barely worth the trouble, even for exp. And then there's the problem of maintaining a map pool. so far, so good, but lots of people seem to have trouble, I don't see why I will be any different.

I'll be much better off farming Dom, which are level 70 drops I believe.

A shame that orbs have just ended up a "more interesting currency than gold".

I don't know. I use orbs pretty often, mostly alch and below, but also regals and chaos.

Exalted almost never (since they are so rare and I literally have not one item that is worth exalting)

On a side note, in D2 LoD I also almost never used my high runes, besides trading.

So to me everything seems as intended.
lower orbs are used to roll all sorts of items.
higher orbs are used to perfect awesome items.
if you don't have nearly perfect items you trade your higher orbs for good items.

The biggest difference between PoE and D3 in this regard is that in PoE you might spend a shitton of currency to craft something, but when you get that perfect item you can sell it for an even larger shitton of currency. In D3 you can never get your investment back.

Trolling?

Spoiler
You get the investment back by using that better item./derp

Exactly.

Those 2 are completely different games now, PoE is about profit and economy and D3 is about killing monsters.

Lol guys, this isn't hard to understand... In PoE you can use the item OR sell it for an equally good item or currency. In D3 you can only use the item, the investment you put in it is gone. That's why it makes sense that crafting perfect items in PoE takes much longer compared to D3.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Amazing logic there!

It's the gold. You have no choice but to grind it out now. The mats rain.

Indeed. And I find that good, I have to slay some more monsters, play the game.

First, like I've said, you have to find an item that's worth that amount of rerolling. And when you do find that item, you'll already have a nice amount in your stash to reroll it until you get the desired mod, unless, you're extremely unlucky, then you go farm some more.

And by the gold problem, one now has an incentive to play harder content, more gold drops.

In 4 attempts, it will be 1M, in like 9 it will be 2M. ALL I'm saying, is the amount is exponentially more expensive. And it can be compared to PoE, where the amount of mats is static. It does not cost exponentially more mats to do the same gamble.

Crafting perfect items in D3 takes long time too. Probably has never been done, just like in PoE. It is actually far harder in d3 since they don't have any divine orb and no eternal orb; you can only change 1 stat, that's it; if more than 1 stat is not in perfect shape, then too bad.

Yeah, it has a very different approach. It is easy to get "good" gear through drops and enchanting/crafting those drops. It is though far harder to get "perfect" gear.

Thanks, as I said, it's not hard to understand :)

@mazul. But that's the thing, weapons are all trash unless they have a socket. Every single weapon is completely worthless without a socket.

Cost is now 1.15M, and I'm done.
