Jokes aside, its really weird to see the chars running around without leg gear, its like im pawning mobs with my templar wearing a great helm and chainmail, great mace, legendary shield and on my shorts!

I wonder if there actually will be microtransactions for pants. That would be quite interesting way to make money.

Wearing pants makes it more difficult to teabag your opponent in PvP. Simple enough. For most of you your wife wear your pants anyway.

Personally I've been very disappointed in the micro transaction department. I don't know who the artist is but GGG needs to fire them soon. Most of all the unique items look cool, but 98% of all the MTA look like silly crap. It's amazing they are selling anything. It's either over powering like the lighting weapon effect or you can hardy see it. Most of the time simple is better. I love the new black hood but the skull mask looks stupid. GGG please get some cool looking MTAs, I have money and I'm waiting for something cool.

Elaborate pants were a fashion fad in Oriath at the time the game takes place and all the classes are fashion conscious hipsters who don't wear them because they're to mainstream.

(true answer) The art was inspired by the armor worn by the Greeks. Long chest pieces, high boots. Also, later in the game you'll have armor that covers your legs.
