Why no leg armor?

So, this might be a silly question, but why is there no leg armor? I'm genuinley curious about why GGG decided that it's not going to be in the game. I know it's not a huge thing, but it seems like that in a land as hostile as Wraeclast you'd think that having your legs intact is an important aspect of survival.

If i could get an actual response as to why GGG decided to not include it, I'd be thrilled.

Anyway, great job on the game, loving it!

I don't know.

I suppose the design team was just caught with its pants down.

Because with leg armor, the Marauder and Templar can't wave their balls of steel around to smash the enemy's faces in.

I have also wonderd that :). Probably because you would get more and have far more spells? But then again they could of added leg armor with no sockets

Pants are for casuals.

It was found out that 99% of all crimes in the empire were committed by people wearing pants, so they banned them.

They could at least make the models for chest armor pieces have a matching set of pants. After the wipe I started a marauder mostly because I couldn't look at the legs of my witch anymore. Feels like playing an 11yo girl with the pink knees and everything. At least for the sake of appearance they could give us pants.

I believe the reason that there is no pants slot is that the pants item would add another set of sockets/skills and in would off set the game mechanics that were implemented, if i think about it now, there would also be to many skills, you would end up using only a few and the rest would be there just to lvl up and trade them. This way you are more limited and you have to choose skill you use or skill you want to lvl up and trade, thats what i like about the game everything is up to you :). Anyway i hope i shed some light but again this is not confirmed by any official voice its just my opinion.
