Nope, more likely because there was no good way to add Onslaught's mini turbo to the main game. Exiles, shrines and nemesis mods could easily be added as randomly spawned extras but how would you have added onslaught? Some areas spawn with 20% more monster speed?
They have chosen a more intelligent path and added onslaught as a special affix for unique items.

By the way, if they really didn't add Onslaught because the community hated it I wonder what they will do about Invasion :D

this one modifier to speed can be tweaked once per day if devs so wish

My point is, with the current state of affairs, I severely doubt invaders will ever become integrated into the game as a whole. Well, except in Corrupted areas, where they already are part of the game as a whole. I think the worst you could imagine is a map affix which adds an invader (or two?) to the map.

Would this not become a "reroll map" mod?

Since the variety in power is so huge between some invaders when tackled with "X" build?

Depends on several factors. I very much doubt the most OP invaders will still be the same by the end of the season.

Agreed, but like you mentioned before, they are already present in the "main-game". I really don't see no reason to introduce them in any other way?

Other then making random deaths be more common :p?

You cant just demand perfect balance because its probably impossible to achieve in this game. Ranged characters have advantage in surviving and thats how it is. Melee character is still viable but u have to avoid some crazy bosses.



Bullshit. I'm melee and i rarely skip invasion bosses. Ossecati is the only one that i 100% skip; others are fine.
