Make them stack in 1000s, we will one tab for currency, nice and tidy.

Is there any rationale behind the stack sizes?

Unless ofc it is part of the 'challenge' of the game to make players struggle to manage stash space?

rationale is relative importance of the orb
ex are very important and thus are in stack of 10

of course trading changed everything

but I agree with sentiment
please increase stack sizes, my mirrors take too much space

that is understandable for exalts/eternals.

But alchemy? It is one of the more common orb drops. It has 1/4th stack size of regret and 1/2 that of gcp.

Alteration orbs? They have very small stack size of 20, while ppl usually hoard 100s of them.

Actually, limited stash space is ok, because otherwise no one wud purchase stash tabs. You can't really blame GGG for that, because the game is free and relies upon microtransaction funding.

But currency takes so little space that it will hardly ever take up more than 1-2 stash pages, so most people don't have issue with it taking up too many tabs. The problem with stack sizes has more to do with when u move currency to inventory, after a while the currency page becomes cluttered.
