How many accounts exist in PoE?

I don't know, but I'd guess GGG has given out round about 5000 (maybe 6000) beta-keys. 2400 at PAX and the rest by the timer, friend-invites and giveaways. How many of them are actually active is something that I obviously can't answer.

Everyone, your logic is entirely and completely flawed. You are all acting like you'll never get to play the game.

GGG might increase the rate of beta invites. Also, the game will eventually be out and not in beta anymore. You'll all get to play it eventually. Just go play something else in the mean-time!
