Duelist with low DPS, need help

Nope, i tried that and no luck.
Tried 200+ iir and 100+ iiq still no luck.

SO you are saying IIR and IIQ do not contribute to exalts (and gems in general) dropping ?

b.t.w, what is the going price for the multistrike support gem ?
It looks like I will have to buy one if I Want to increase my DPS quickly at my current state.

Nope, some ppl even have a good drop without iiq and iir.

Multistrike gem - 3-5c (depends on the seller)

Today I got myself:
+ Multistrike (just a regular lvl 1 gem).
I am still leveling the Multistrike gem but it didn't seem to increase my DPS so much, I am just a tad above 3K with Dual Strike at the moment.

I changed my Dual Strike support gems (only 4S3L gear at the moment).
From: MultiStrike + Faster Attacks + Mana Leech
To: MultiStrike + Melee Damage + Added Fire Damage
Now I got 5.3K DPS with Dual Strike !

The Added Fire damage almost doubled my DPS, its crazy !
It does seem to eat my mana much faster now with 32 Mana cost.
I have mana leech on another gem, I seem to manage for now.

I need to start trading to gain Chaos/Exalts, I got some gear to sell, but it takes time.

What are you using for clearing groups of monsters?

I don't have anything for that at the moment, the Dual Strike is more for single opponent.
With my Heavy Strike gem I had splash support which helped for big groups but I currently can't use it because my gear doesn't have enough sockets.

Any suggestions ?

With recent gear change and leveling up I managed to raise my Dual strike DPS to ~6.4K.

So many wasted skillpoints!

Why the +10 dex and the two +10 str node at the duelist start? 3 completly wasted points.

Removing the not-so-great "Deft Blade" and the two not-so-great nodes above "Wicked blade" saves another 8 points.

Taking the +30 Int node on the right, not on the left, saves another point.
If you even need the +30 Int.

That's 12 points that can be removed with little to no negative effect.
And you can invest them into whatever you are planning between Marauder and Templar behind the Scion life wheel (I hope you didnt just walk there for the +10 attribute nodes). ;)

Your gear looks ok...ish. I'd try to get more pDpS on the weapons and resists on the helm, so you can remove the resist nodes in the skilltree and use them for something better.

Yes, you are absolutely right.
Juan suggested a new tree which I am following, but there are a lot of nodes I needed to change.
I have already removed 1 res node today (+6% elemental dmg res) as I am almost maxed out on all res (except chaos).
I will follow your suggestion about the int and the dex + str nodes at the begging.
It takes a while to convert so many point, I think I will spend some of the very few chaos orbs I have left to buy scouring and get ~10 Regrets so I can finish converting most of my tree.

Got(made) myself a nice Eternal Sword today, 220DPS, pure pDPS, made it myself actually with an alch and about 3-4 chaos.


Using a loaned Tenderizer from Juan, until I can afford/find myself a 280pDPS weapon.

With Dual Strike I am getting 11.7K DPS and when using Hatred its 15.5K DPS, a nice improvement considering a few days ago I was not even close to 10K DPS.

It gives way more durability and health
and overall more damage
the only thing you lose is all resists

but you gain a lot armor, damage and health

I would suggest getting a 5 link chest piece, that should take you a long way! A bringer of rain will be pretty hard for a new player to get a hold of, I would maybe try to learn more about the game and what you like about it first!

It is just something to think about.
