Dominus and Vaal

Because there are miscreations in Atziri's ranks, it's obvious that they were not invented by piety or dominus, but by the Vaal.

The vaal tried to achieve something they called "communion":
"
"A communion... but with what? By all accounts, it wasn't God that the Vaal were trying to reach."
-Icius Perandus

It's also quite clear that Dominus was trying to contact someone or something he called God and he used miscreations, or they were a byproduct of the process, to achieve that.

So we have 2 parties trying to reach something, and since the Vaal existed before dominus, my guess is they used the same methods with dominus of course trying to emulate the Vaal.

The vaal, or at least most of them, disappeared.

My question is: Did the Vaal succeed where Dominus failed?

It'd be better if you brought in some speculation at least.

Maybe if we guess something right we might get a cheeky remark from someone from GGG, though I highly doubt my thread would be graced by their presence. A man can dream though, right?

Also, someone might have thought about this more than I, and it'd be great if we could at least try to figure out something about the lore.

There will only be 10 Acts from what i read.

Fishing is already in the game, its just not something everyone knows yet. ;)
This game has a story?
I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

They started corrupting stuff and creating miscreations and everything was progressing quite well. Then, a valiant warrior with 600 ex worth of gear appeared and wiped them out. It is debatable whether he did it for the loot, because he was already more than well-geared and most of the Vaal's stuff was crap anyway. Most scholars agree that the valiant warrior was probably just looking for excuses to use his shiny toys.

That was the true downfall of the Vaal civilization, and now, history repeats itself with Dominus.

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.”
You have to be realistic about these things.
