General Discussion - Vaal orbs have a good chance of 5/6 linking your items - Forum

I doubt it. One of its random pool of mods is probably "add 5L or 6L" + the sockets necessary. I wouldn't be surprised if it could make a white/blue/rare item into a unique either. That's nice. But the biggest problem with fusings/jewellers isn't how difficult it is to get a 6L/5L on a random rare, it's how difficult it is to get a 6L/5L on your build-defining item like a voll's protector and most other unique chests.
