I WANT TO BE MALE RANGER AND WITCH

I think people need to back off a bit. The OP did not ask if it was a lot of work, nor did they need a bunch of random internet people accusing them of being insecure. It is a preference, a very common one, that many many games provide for. Asking for the feature no more proves that the OP is insecure than asking for ice cream proves you are fat. Even if it is a lot of work, what about game design is easy, or fast for that matter. I do not see this request being filled quickly, but I see it as legitimate post that shouldn't be thrown aside simply because it is not YOUR priority.

On a side note, think before you post, what do you want the community to be? There are already plenty of troll filled hate pots out there. Be kind, rewind.

I don't think anyone stating that it was a lot of work was downplaying that it couldn't be a feature - but the amount of work something has to have behind it to be considered for feature implementation should definitely be taken into consideration considering this is an indie-company.
What is most pathetic about this is not the insecurity about the sex of the characters, but the insecurity about playing a different character, thus a different starting point on the passive tree, and thus a different build.

There are ways to play ALL the characters in almost ANY way you desire - it takes a bit more effort for some, but it's doable for every single one if you just try.

It won't always be the most efficient most effective way to play a given "spec" but then hey, you're the one who cares more about the aesthetics than your build (at least, one would assume so given the nature of this thread is the MODELS not the PASSIVE START POINTS).

----

You want a solution that ends all debate? One that encompasses the desires of everyone as well as puts very little added strain on the developers?

Make it so we can pick a starting point on the tree independently of our characters. Example: You choose Marauder, but start yourself at the Witch location on the tree (and thus get Witch starting stats and Witch class quest rewards).

It would be little more than a model swap.

I just said do not miss out on a character because of the sex of it. nothing wrong with that.
I spent much of my gaming life playing females because i felt i HAD to. the op has every right to not want to play a class.. but in the end they will miss out. like i did in the past.

many people in the thread have been kind enough to give examples of the classes to play to get the same end result. in male form.

Thank the Wraeclast deities I'm not crazy. :)

Perhaps we should start a new suggestion thread and let people chime in if they support this?

does it make u feel a little insecure

well, i d like women but i´m sure as hell dont wanna be one.
Since I tend to connect with my virtual identities i definitely cant play a female character without feeling kinda wierd.
In relation to the OP's point about not wanting to play female characters. Can someone that has the same opinion please tell me why that is?
Also, is this a preference to play ONLY male characters and in the case of games that provide entirely non-human races (e.g. TERA's Popori etc), avoid them completely?

As someone who has no issue playing any form of race/gender etc. I don't see why it is an issue for others, so I'd love to hear from one of these people :D

Way back when in the closed beta all classes started out at the same point.
It was changed to differentiate the classes more clearly.

If you've really got a problem playing as a different gender, wait for the microtransaction option to come to the shop. And possibly read up on Freud... ;)

Freud would have his fun with guys who play women in games ;)

how hard is it to implement male versions of the class?

Not so hard as it is time consuming.

Have to make new models, new animations, new voice actors. Come release of the game, this may be implemented.

I don't see what the issue is though, it's not as if everyone suddenly thinks you're a girl/gay for playing a female character.
