Don't you think giving him super desync powers on top of everything else is a bit much?

been trying to find info on this guy. Can't find anything. Care to fill me in?

Found him yesterday, beat him after a bit. He's a royal PITA.

1. Moves around a lot. Like a squirrel high on adderol. Don't expect to get more then 1 hit on him at a time.
2. Has a brutal 2-sec puncture. Wasn't enough to kill me even while moving (high life build), but damn it hurt.
3. Uses a firestorm style thorn attack to keep you from standing still.
4. Regular attack is not bad, as bosses go.
5. Has a bubble around him. Not sure what it does- I think it causes health degen. There are so many different damage sources it was very hard to test.

He's not super deadly (depends on your build though) so much as Not Worth The Effort.

That bubble around him means you can only damage him if you are inside the Bubble ( As i feared). You must have a very good connection and Pc to follow his moves. My Pc is not that good, so I won't bother with this guy much. Big AoE Puncture attack, and strong chaos attack. This Boss is much more easier In my opinion for melee characters with gap closers abilities such as charge etc, as It would get next to him at once and inside the bubble where you can hit him once or twice while using your potions to heal. With my Bow duelist is quite hard.

Fought this guy while levelling a self cast sparker...

Gotta say that victory is up there with punching Merveil to death and her dropping my first pair of Facebreakers.

The proximity shield mechanic drives me nuts in all iterations, so I can only imagine how numbing it is to fight a boss with the mechanic, and then add fast movement and run away ai...

Not sure if that is more frustrating than the proximity shields overlapping making both sources of shield immune to point blank damage, that shit just makes me rage.

Bumped into this one at L45 as a mostly-fire witch in a corrupted area with permanent vulnerability. Completely unbeatable.

Fought this at level 26 on a ranger wow I had to be inventive. 100000 fire traps later profit

Wand shadow in that awkward leveling phase between life and ES - couldn't even hit him right :p

While the Evangelists in Sceptre are slow, Thornrunner is constantly try to run away when you get close, so you'll have to chase him down whether you're melee or ranged due to his proximity shield.
