I have exactly the same problem.
I use an ATI Radeon 5670 card. I couldn't find any mipmap related settings. Is there something else I have to change in the settings in the AMD catalyst ? |

You could try using third party ATI Tray Tools for the mipmap quality, but it should already be set to maximum if there's no slider in your driver utility anymore.

I can confirm that the ATI Tray Tools works. The MIPMAP components of the game were super low quality. Just download Tray Tools, go into 3D settings and change the MIPMAP detail.
Thanks for the solution! Edit: I run an ATI Radeon HD 5870 mobile. Last edited by Danny__L#1927 on Feb 6, 2013, 1:47:39 PM

The newest version of catalyst removed the mipmap slider from advanced options BUT if you change to standard then go to Gaming/gaming performance/mipmapping you can use the slider.

Ati Tray Tools is awesome, but if you don't want to mess with it i suggest to just go in the Catalyst Control Center, look on the top right-->click preferences-->switch to "advanced" view. There you go in gaming sattings and you'll find the mipmap quality slider.

Sorry to necro this thread, but I wanted to throw out a thank you for the pointers in here.
I just ran into this problem when I updated my video card drivers a couple days ago and, being noob as hell, was getting pretty frustrated not being able to find a solution. Going to normal view in CCC and finding the mipmap settings did the trick. Thank you to SinSmooth and gast if you're still around. |
