Corrupting items can reroll the mods. Wtf?

its likely not a total reroll but something like swap out tiers of affixes which can still really gimp an item. if it was a total reroll then a vaal orb might as well be a chaos orb with a few other possibilities.

Sadly i think vaal orbs will make uniques even more powerful since most of them dont have big difference in high or low rolls.

Ive noticed a serious case of extreme risk aversion among many of the people who post on the forums.

You can also see it reflected in people who never use thier currency to craft and only use it for trade. They are afraid of having bad luck and it costing more currency than the trade would have to get what they want, but they seem to very rarely take into account that they might have good luck and it will cost less.

Personally, im quite excited for the new orb.

It's not sadly; it's actually very interesting - there are lot of cheap and interesting uniques in this game that vaal orbs can make pretty badass. AND you can use bad rolled uniques :) Again, ppl, you lack imagination.

I would also rather spent more currency to get the same result and have a nice feeling of accomplishment than to trade for items. :D

I don't think it affects prefixes and suffixes mods at all.

If by complete reroll we mean like applying a Chaos Orb than the devs should reconsider because this will be a fiasco: you really can't mix and mash orb effects in such a wild way and expect players to appreciate it.
If we leave it at:
- % chance to gain white sockets
- % chance to gain a different implicit mod
- % chance to do nothing (but snapshot the item in the process)

We have a healthy thing going on.

If you really want big risks add something like % chance a single affix gets replaced with another random one.

full reroll on an item chance will be a disaster imo.

I wonder if u corrupt a gem before it gets level 20, will you be able to level it further (and will I be able to see the effect corruption did aswell), otherwise its gonna be so fucked up ...
