About the loot system

i love the loot system. i lose some, i win some. No one loses ALL the time.

That's rather dissapointing that there is no way to have an increased timer so you can get your loot before it goes to a public FFA. While I understand that competition is good in not just PvE but PvP in cooperative play it shouldn't be a juvenile FFA to grab all loot. That puts a damper on jumping into a public game where I have no idea who I'm playing with. While I have no problem respecting other players loot (as long as there is a way to tell that the loot is from a kill made by someone else) in a public game I could be in with Nelson Muntz who says "Ha ha, I just stole your unique item". The GGG devs should re-examine this after the OB bugs and overload is fixed and things quiet down.

system is not the problem... some players are =)

The whole point is though...and I'm not saying i do it, but the system is intended to allow players to take the items. Again, it says to compete against other players for loot.

this is intended and isn't worthy of blacklisting someone. lol.

Good idea, kinda works messy in play due to latency and stopping combat to run in and grab items.

I would suggest locking it down and starting the timer when all monsters in the immediate vicinity are dead.
i think since the goal is to improve competition... the timer should just show to players with bows and wands equiped. that will make things even
the loot system is very unfair.
there is this one map "Coves" where the black things explode on death and you are stuck in this gewww that slows ur speed down to a crawl. Whada ya know. A green fast casting gem drops from a mob out of my range, that is mine. But the timer ticks off as i scramble to get to it.
Also lost a Orange Rare from act 1 final boss due to a massive drop of items and my guy walking around players. One even though i clicked on it i just walked around it.

Can we at least get a way to hid white trash so we aren't accidentally picking it up instead of the good stuff?
So many times inventory full from moving, picking stuff up on accident or accident click on the white item hovering right next to the yellow drop and missing it.
