stuck at level 60

571 dps in merc act 3 is your problem.

And Natharias got some very good tips for you..
They gave some great tips.
1 (might be stupid) tip is to try to play an HC char..You learn/XP whats a "good" build vs bad sooner..but ofc you will hit the "wall" sooner aswell..Depends how keen you are at party/trading along the way.

Farm Merveil. Until your fingers bleed. Throw some Magic Find on if you can and you'll get what you need eventually. She drops level 58 items, so they'll be around your level if you find an upgrade.

Of course you'll get a metric ton of crap too, but that will make you orbs by which you can trade for better gear.

The thing to realize is that nothing is fast in this game unless you have someone helping you alone. It will take time.
Honestly, I think your problem is you lack dps passives; you move around the tree a lot.

Life nodes are important, but some of the others not so. I've never had a character that uses more then 1 aura (usually grace)...so not sure if reserving mana nodes and all the pathing to them makes up for the dps gained from any 1 or 2 extra auras.

I know people say it's path of life nodes or defense, but the faster you kill things, the less damage you'll take overall. It's all about balance.

Using BM gem is fine -- being able to cast your skills 100% of the time is extremely important, plus frees up space to use other, more important flasks (jade, granite, etc).

Cast on damage, enduring cry + molten shell is a good combo for absorbing some damage. You could replace or add arctic armor if you have the mana pool to use it.

I'd start farming the Dread Thicket...easy enemies, nice tight quarters (good for st), and they are level 62, which means you can use the chaos orb vendor recipe to get a few orbs.

I probably cheated a bit, I use ST, but DW. And the duelist section has just a ton of damage in a very small, compact area. On top of that, it's really easy to move around the tree and pickup massive amounts of health. A few nice block talents too, which can give you a nice edge.

This how I upgraded my gear without trading. Don't expect the best doing it this way but it does help you upgrade with a little patience and farming

You should follow your own advice and properly phrase your posts in such a way that others can more easily understand them.

I'm not the one asking for tips here, but perhaps you should listen to the Forum Guidelines.

As to finding what builds are good or not, Hardcore is not the place to do it. Standard and Domination are the best leagues to try out new builds, as you can die and return to the area to see if you died to desync, lag, poor active planning, weak gear, or simply a bad build.

It doesn't do someone much good to make a Hardcore character and then die, other than to destroy their spirit.
2h spectral throw here. Lvl 60 A3 Merciless.

Dps is around 750 but that's gonna increase soon because I'm done taking the nearby lufe nodes. Got around 7k armor, 18k if I use my Granite flask.

My main 4L is Spectral Throw + Life Gain on Hit + LMP+ Added Fire. IMO Life Gain on Hit is better for Spectral Throw instead of alife Leech.

Need more resists atm and swapping some gear around caused my Life to go below 2k again due to some of my gear having only resists and not life. My one and only trade for this char so far is getting the Geofri's Baptism maul way back when I was lvl28.

My curse is Warlord's Mark. It gives me heckuvalot of sustainiability. My flasks are always nearly full.

Once I get a 5L I can swap stuff around again so I can replace my curse with Projectile Weakness and run Hatred and Grace.
Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Now i understand that my build and gear sux hard lol!!!

think i didn't tell you that my hp is around 1.6k ... so ya my gear sux

I was able to farm Catacomb in Mer A3 yesterday... it took a long time.. maybe a 20min to farm, did it 2 time (and die twice) and got 2 map and a red 2h mace that sux (good dps but with stats like less XP gain and less MF)

I will try to drop the vitality aura and keep only 2.

With the free mana, i will try to add a second melee attack for 1 vs 1 like Heavy strike.

I will try to change my life leech gem for a life on hit.

I will farm A2 or even A1 for better gear, sionce i can't find any good gear with Res and HP... that's why i need to take Res nodes in my Tree.

I will try to craft a better 2h magic

I'm almost at the point to just freaking delete my scion and start over... but well... i will give her a chance for another week

All again
I feel like the only person who uses Faster Projectiles on a 4L ST build. The faster projectiles significantly ups my damage and my range, both of which make it much easier to progress.

Definitely kill the Vitality Aura and ditch Blood Magic in favor of a mana-based build (takes some mana regen jewerly) and a good bit of life/mana leech. After that, the only thing to really hold you back is getting a good weapon - you need very high DPS and (ideally) attack speed.

To anyone that care...

Well i did some of your change and i'm now level 61.. ya!!! :) lol

i'm now using the spell totem + skeletons + a curse on my codt and well.. WOW that make all the difference!!!! i feel like i'm cheating.. so easy now

i have remove my vitality auras, so now only running 2 auras.. have 90 ish mana left for my codt combo.

i have change my life leech for life on hit gem.

to get my 1 level.. i did some Catacomb runs... found 6 maps (level 66) 1 epic 2h mace (that sux) and 1 rare glove upgrade (level 65 damn!)

I'm still looking for life gear (only 1.7k life) and some MF gear (only 45 iir) and some 5l gear to add more dps to my ST combo

thanks everyone for your help!!

I got a 5L maul for cheaps! Only 2c. It was white, so that explains the price. Alched and scoured tilll I got something respectable. I'm seriously considering dropping Added Fire now in favor of Projectile Damage. The DPS difference is miniscule even with it on since you can't directly buff your damage through the passive tree. I'll probably add it later when I get a 6L.

Oh, and if you wanna farm, do Docks. It's safer that way. The only threat there would be firedogs, but you have range.
