stuck at level 60
Hi there,
Think i need some help!!! I can't seam to be able to level pass 60. I'm dying way too often and losing all xp progress. I'm playing with a Scion 2h Spectral throw Problem is my gear sux really hard and not sure where to farm. Here is my Scion stats with Auras (vitality + grace + Hatred): ST: 571 dps (ST+blood magic+LMP+Life Leech) Physical damage reduction: 56% Resistance = 57/75/75/-24 Other gem: CwDt + Decoy Totem + Proj Weakness Here is my tree: https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgAAAecDlg48FCAVIBmKGo8a2RzcHaokpScLKaUqTSzpMZ4yfjWSNug4GzpSOuE7KD8nRnFKyEyxTeNOKlBHUzVYr1pSWz1br2BDbEZuPW6qb55ybHYIeA2DCYjxkc-TJ5tdm7WmV6cwqJqpbqxZtAy18rfiwzrKSsuCzkjQR90N4YjkEedj8XbyRfKX9tr3vvsJ_gr-jw== So... where should i farm? Think i really a better 2h weapon! |

" First thing I'd note is that you lack a shield. Most shields give you roughly 25% chance to block, which means 1/4 of all melee and projectile attacks deal zero damage. I'd grab a shield. Second thing I noted was your skill tree. You grabbed Iron Reflexes, but not Unwavering Stance. With IR, you only can ever have 5% chance to evade, and stun is what might be killing you. Grab Unwavering Stance with a refund point or use an Orb of Regret. This might completely change fighting for you, in a good way. If you are having trouble with mana, or want to get rid of the useless Blood Magic gem, there's a wonderful mana cluster to the East of your starting area called Mana Geyser. You also have mana nodes to your West, which leads to a 1% life regen and 40% mana regen node called "Shaper", I'd grab that. I note that you're grabbing resistance nodes, but haven't grabbed the most obvious and best ones available at your starting area. Each node gives you 18%, and you're grabbing 6% and 15% ones. Spec out of those smaller ones and grab the better ones. You're three points away from MoM, Mind over Matter. This can help mitigate damage if you have a huge mana pool that regenerates quickly. Think about getting this. If you're using evasion armor and converting it to armor via IR, you should grab at least the two notable evasion nodes by your start. Each of those two nodes give you 30% increased evasion, and the other nodes 10%. I would dump Decoy Totem. It's one of the most useless skills in the game. It does absolutely nothing that any other totem can and will do. Rejuvenation Totem will heal both you AND itself, while causing agro due to healing. Spell Totem + Summon Skeletons is even better, as it acts as a buffer between ranged attacks and even forms a wall. It's not powerful, but it does buy you tons of time. As to farming, the best areas are as follows: Normal A1: Submerged Passage Ledge Caverns of Wrath Normal A2: Jungle before town Fellshrine Vaal Temple Caverns and temple leading to Vaal Oversoul Normal A3: Crematorium Docks City of Sarn Library Cruel A1: Submerged Passage Ledge Caverns of Wrath Cruel A2: Jungle before town Fellshrine Vaal Temple Caverns and temple leading to Vaal Oversoul Cruel A3: Crematorium Docks Catacombs Library Merciless A1: Submerged Passage Ledge Caverns of Wrath Tidal Island Ship Graveyard Merciless A2: Jungle before town The Den Fellshrine The Chamber of Sins Vaal Temple Weaver's Chambers Caverns and temple leading to Vaal Oversoul Merciless A3: Catacombs, no better place once you hit Merciless act III. |

Hey thanks for your help!!!
As for mana... im using 3 auras and have like 30 mana left, so i'm using ST with blood magic. So, ST with only 1h weapon + shield will help a lot? Because i found that my issue is my DPS... it's taking forever to kill whites mob in Merc A3. I will try using the healing totem instead. And will farm the Cat with a shield! :) Thanks a lot for your help. |

" The first aura I usually run is Clarity, as other things like Vitality and Hatred don't really help as much early on. The first aura I'd drop is Vitality. It's consuming a percentage of your mana for only a tiny bit of life regen. Get Clarity instead, and spend three points to get MoM. This will help increase your damage. Instead of using the BM gem, you should use Projectile Physical Damage, Added Fire Damage, or something that drastically increases your damage based on your physical. The two reasons why DPS suffers is your gear and then supports. Passive nodes help, but are tertiary. You're using gems that enable things, and don't support your damage by much. You might want to completely upgrade your weapon, regardless of sockets. For additional survivability, you'll want to look at Arctic Armor, Temporal Chains, and Enfeeble. Arctic Armor drastically reduces physical and fire damage you take while leaving a trail of ice that slows enemies. Sure it drains your mana, but if you regenerate enough and use BM gems it's really worthwhile. Temporal Chains slows enemies down significantly, and Enfeeble reduces their chance to hit and all types of damage dealt. |

571 dps in merc act 3 is your problem. Also, level 60 is a bit low for merc act 3 unless you have above-average gear, which seems unlikely. If killing white mobs is the problem, you're either undergeared or underleveled, or using a bad skill (which ST is not).
You need a better weapon, plain and simple. More damage = more life leech = more survivability. You'd really like to avoid the life leech gem by doing enough damage that you can rely on blood drinker + other leech gear; the life leech gem is eating up a slot that could be used for something better (like added fire damage or added phys projectile damage). (1) Go to the vendor (in merc act 3) and find the highest DPS white weapon of a type that you would like to use. (2) apply 4x blacksmith whetstone to bump it to +20% quality (3) apply a transmutation orb to make it magic (4) roll alt and/or augmentation orbs until you get a high damage modifier (e.g. +100%) (5) ??? (6) profit That should get you started at least. Also: drop Vitality. It's a terrible, terrible aura. There might be some niche use for aura support characters or summoners, but for almost everyone it's just awful. |
