So... when is GGG going to hire the poe.xyz.is guy?

I think GGG likes where XYZ stands currently. If they were to integrate a similar function into the site, everyone would think it's mandatory to use the trading system; which would hurt the in-game trading system.

What in-game trading system. There is just trade spam... everywhere.

Trading is what takes place after you use poe.xyz.is to find someone online that has what you want. Trading in any other manner is time consuming, annoying, frustrating; an effort in futility really, meaning more often than not a trade doesn't happen.

Of course only casual players are leaving the game. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I agree but in a post a month or two ago about adding an AH Chris said they would have to nerf drop rates if trading were easier. GGG doesn't want casual players in their game it seems. Only time will tell if this is a good business move or not.

That's funny since the current model that is being used depends on "casuals" fueling currency to the top-players so they achieve certain high-end goals.

Take out the lower echelon of orb collectors and the upper echelon is no longer sustainable.

It's why the current model is based on a few "time investment" players donating to GGG, and a lot of "fish" playing the game for some time and then leaving it, trading there currency or getting scammed/flipped by the upper echelon players in a sense facilitating the upper echelon of play.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

Ding ding ding!

Sometimes I wonder if GGG has been cooped up in their studio for too long and have lost sight of what they need to do to keep people actually happily playing the game, not just doing so because they still think they have a carrot they will get coming around the bend.

Same, the people using it do not go into the thread where all questions about how the trade will work and prizing works is written down. EVERY FUCKING TIME I have to replay this in the same order:

"Please reed forum thread"
"Yes thats why I tell you to please read the forum thread"
Why you should try Harcore http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/209310/page/1

Honestly, if it wasn't for xyz I don't think I'd have continued playing this game until now.. trying to find certain rare or unique items would be fucking annoying and time consuming beyond beyond..

GGG should be on their knees thanking the creator of the site for building something easy and quick to use in their ignorance toward something that they needed for their game which they totally overlooked.

I dont play to trade i play to kill monsters. If i wanna trade i go to the trade chat, which is not happening a lot. I usually ask the guild or global chat. I dont think everything in the world needs a price and an economy, games should be fun, if someone needs something why not give it away for free?

If it doesn't impact you, why do you hate it?
IGN: Smegacore
I would say if it wasn't for xyz, I might have given up on the game.

Because:
1) The trade chats are effing worthless....I don't have 8 hours a day to find what I am looking for at a good price..
2) Ppl that make games just to trade are insane with most of their prices.
3) When I want something, I would like to find it sooner than later. The online option is GOD.
4) When I want to price something, is it easier to see what the market rate of the item is.
5) There is no true trading system within the game that is worth a crap.
6) Goto point one.
-Time to be funny. The world needs funny right now! Warning: "Might" get you muted.
