Able to visit GGG when I travel to New Zealand?

If I travel it would be sometime in June but I was curious how far are the offices from the touristy areas such as the places where LOTR was filmed. Anyways am I allowed to visit, I promise I won't be a creeper looking through your windows watching with a sign, "where's my exalt?"
