Yeah that makes sense. I imagine GGG are doing pretty well though because with the size of the population some serious botting would be very noticeable on the market.
You just have to look at what bots did to the value of gold in D3 for an example and that had much higher player numbers.

Dont forget that poe currency is sinkable what make it harder to notice (these...).

In that case, well done GGG on the effective currency sink :)

I bet it would be scarier with 8 challenges completed :P I couldn't play hardcore with valuable gear. Well I couldn't play it without my mains being on softcore :P

Ye, its nice mechanic but it doesnt change a fact that botting is too good and effective for that game.

I'm determined to limit myself to one contribution a year but oh boy do I want the portal effect from the Champion Pack.

Exactly :-) I've got my eyes on the champion pack as well, it seems so good..

I've seen one and the portal effect doesn't look half as good as you think. I went with the Warrior pack as a result and I'm pretty darn happy with that portal effect :D

What about poe scares or excites all of you? What are you hopeful for?

I get all excites when GGG gates content behind many, MANY justified layers of RNG and then says when people QQ like lil casual girly girls about it says 'its okie and dokie the economy is you're friend, your lover and you are saviour. Now bow at the altar of RNGesus and give Him your daily bread and hours.''

I am hopeful MY meatshake gets even harder to swallow cuz, you know, moar hardcore!!! game for gamers not casual noob soup salads. I hope they start gating rares not just uniques and make drop rates for orbs 2-3 times worse cuz, you know, protect economy!!!!! But mit's ok cuz we get cool new MTX stuffs so they can make even more overtuned a3x contents for the arnie hardcore ascended gaemrs!!! Not, repeat, NOT to fix deysnc cuz as you've seen in every other online game who has much worser desync than Path of Excellence they cannot possibly achieve better success with it and MUST obviously make more microtransactions so you can buy them and so they can make more mtx!!

Flaming baby carebears mtx '14!!

/RNGesus FTW!!

/casuals please buy mtx before you quite so Path of Excellence has moar moneys for hardcore gamerz game!!!

Edit: On a serious note; GGG don't let an account purchase microtransactions until a character on that account reaches level 85, I bet we would see a sharp drop in those sales. Point is I bet the majority of microtransaction sales are to clueless noobs who will leave the game shortly after realizing the many fundamental flaws it has, which makes these sales borderline illegitimate.
