Desecrate and Detonate Dead.

So as you've gathered I want to use these two along side eachother, however I want to know how the corpses of the desecrate scales.
Do the corpses "health" increase with level? If not then there is no point in using them both.
I think the corpses are roughly equal in level/stats as a white mob in whatever area you summon the desecrated ground.

The corpses are tied to the zone in which you cast desicrate.

So if you are in lunaris the corpses will be from that zone and of that lvl. That's also how people are now getting the spectres they want so easily.
once you get enough +fire dmg and spec dd like this:

youll be able to one shot same-kin monsters without any issues.

flamability + ele weakness help a lot with fire resist mobs

in general desacrate is an amazing kickstart for dd builds. lvl of the gem does not matter

Doing the math, the increased fire damage needed is quite high.

.18 * (1 + x / 100) = 1 ---> we would need 455% increased fire damage.

On the other hand, desecrate summons three corpses. If you're willing to cast DD 3 times to kill the first group of mobs, we only need ~84% increased fire damage.

Has anyone done the math with some support gems? The base damage of DD scales pretty well. How well can we maximize the final damage?

you dont need that high because of concetrated effect (70%more damage, less radious) but in order to one shot you still need high fire/elemental damage investment.
+fire dmg, +area dmg, conc effect, +fire pen, +fire pen from curses. spell dmg does NOT affect DD at all

detonate dead is used vs crowds, and as such one-shoot and almost-one-shoot are in fact equivalent on average but it is ofc better to get to 100%+ scenario

DD, Fire Pen, Inc AoE, Conc, LL, Added Lightning perhaps?

That and a carcass jack would go a long way to scale the damage, a quality DD has a fast cast too so I wouldn't worry about multi casting it. I was thinking about an EB/MoM/AA combo with DD and desecrate for the new league, easy to scale and doesn't require much for it to work.
Reflect could be a problem but you can still use FT to supplement and an AA/MoM combo should help mitigate a fair amount.
Tried using CoDT + Desecrate + DD all level 1 in merciless slums ... damage is lackluster
Even with trap + multitrap + Desecrate & CoDT + DD, the damage is not impressive.

Granted I am not built for this gem yet. Perhaps others who are can try to see these gem combinations can be successful too?
