dual wield sword/axe build have become different build
recently I buy a woe for my dual wield sword build
I simply think that I just need to change sword passives to axe sword, but differences are more than I think axe can't use reave and wirling_blade, two of my best like skill and it makes axe less dexterous. not 2 skills, my battle style would be changed so axe must battle with keeping standing, not like sword that could hit and run about unique equipments. axe especially need The Bringer of Rain . and sword suits more to have Rat's Nest axe is easier to make block build and sword is easier to make a crit build Then about passive tree, dual wield axe suits to start on duelist and move to the left, get resolute technique, as much as possible STR. DEX isn't important enough ,and could get 6 red charges, 4 green charges dual wield sword suits to start on duelist and move to the right, more crit passive. STR and DEX are both needed, and get 4 red charges 6 green charges 4 blue charges I used to think dual wield sword/axe is interchangeable. but now, they have developed into different 2 build |

Why would you use Reave in dual wielding? It only uses main hand for attack.
And in my opinion, that 10% attack speed isn't worth it, you lose too much survivability for crap amount of DPS. And crit builds without daggers/wands/claws are much worse than RT builds. The base crit is really shitty and you'll end up with a ~90% chance to hit with a shit crit chance. |

" Not so, when dual-wielding, Reave alternates between weapons. |

" reave on dual wield is used Alternately one hit of cleave is 70%x60%x2=84% one hit of reave is 100% reave is the best aoe skill for dual wield build dual_strike+melle_splash have more dps but less radius, and it's only better than reave with BOR or 6L dual wield sword build don't need block, it's harder to get 75% block than axe build without WOE and this build need more flexible and armor dual wield sword build should make full use of whirling blade, it's the best movement skill. just WB+FA is enough but it's a key skill Iron Reflexes make ev get twice BUFF to become armor so go to the right of the passive tree, get as much as possible ev passive like the boss---kole dual wield axe should get enough block and keep standing and fuck the BOSS dual wield sword should mainly use puncture and whirling_blade ,hit and run if without enough HP and armor just use the same way like axe build if HP and armor is enough I admit that duelist dual wield build main DPS is APS and base damage, crit is Auxiliary 4 blue charge, Rat's Nest and about 10 passives to get 30% critcal chance is enough first to ensure enough PDPS, raise the crit when we have went to around the limit other reason that I think dual sword build suit crit build is the rapiers's base MOD,sritical strike multiplier counts in superposition if one dual wield with two harpy rapiers, you would have 220% sritical strike multiplier for both hand weapon |

" True, what I wanted to say is that it uses one weapon for attack, not both at the same time. |

isn't that great? That two builds play differently.

" but the damage of one hand is still more than cleave used on both hands cleave is 70%x60%x2=84% but reave is 100% and alternates also gets the buff of dual wield APS any how , reave is a good AOE skill for dual wield build and has better DPS than clean in the same situation |

10%aspd from dual wielding is multiplicative with everything.
so it's effectivly 10% MORE damage. True, shield is nice and all, but the damage boost from DW is NOT neglible |

" Cleave isn't for dual wield for a long time :P " Although I've started as a dual wielder, because that is my genuine play style, it absolutely sucks compared to 1-hander + shield. I would gladly take block + resist + armour over 10% more DPS any day, especially in 80+ level. |

" i agree that shield is usually better, most of my builds are shield as well. i just pointed out, that 10%damage isnt a little by any means, and weapons have mods that are impossible to get to a shield for specific builds (like offhand claw for leech or lgoh, or wed, or +3melee gems, and etc) the dual wielding passives offer really high bonuses as well. if block wasnt so broken as it is now, then they would be comparable for a lot more builds, but apart from that, i dont think that dual wielding is terrible. It is just for specific builds (as opposed to almost all other games where dual wielding= much more damage, sword+shield= much more defence, in PoE, it is more like sword+shield for almost all builds, DW for DW specific builds) |
